Zone (also called Radial) is an attack behavior characterized as an attack created from the close proximity of the base tower outwards with absolutely no aiming involved, creating a damage zone from the point of origin and accompanied by any valid radial form of damage. Zones can be triggerable when a bloon is within range, or it shot out sporadically. It is part of the damage types family. Tack Shooters, Ice Monkeys, and Monkey Aces have this by default.
Zone is represented on Bloons Wiki as , the upgrade icon for The Tack Zone in Bloons TD 6, fittingly due to the fact that The Tack Zone is a "tack zone", which also has Straight Movement and Orbital Spray as part of its way of creating a damage zone. Zone is guaranteed to be accompanied by either Area of Effect or Orbital Spray , with very few exceptions. Zones must be purely originating within the tower and not spawning a separate generated attack via Spawn . It is not the same as having a projectile shoot out and blast out an Area of Effect , nor the same as having a spray of projectiles from said projectile; the act of making a projectile doing the area-of-effect or orbital spray is not considered an example of a zone, and neither is the Burst coming out, due to not coming specifically from the tower itself.
Monkey Aces are an outlying example for Zone. Darts from Monkey Aces originate from the flying Ace and spawn outwards, but this still considered a Zone due to the fact that the Ace is considered a base tower; pineapples, however, do not count and instead are Spawn due to creating pineapples at where the Ace is and not just creating an attack from within the initiation to move outwards. Technically but oddly, BTD6 Ground Zero's ability is a Zone centered at the center of the Ace's runway with Whole Screen , for the sake of pierce consumption calculations.
Typical examples with Zone include BTD6 Bloontonium Reactor, BTD6 Glaive Lord.
Most attacks require an upgrade to have Zone attack style. Again, Tack Shooters, Ice Monkeys, and Monkey Aces have this by default, although Cryo Cannon loses this attack style in exchange for Straight Movement like a normal projectile-shooting tower.
