Water Park is an Intermediate map in Bloons TD 6. It was added in Version 38.0 on July 26th, 2023, alongside Reality Warper Phayze.

Overview[]

Water Park is a water park consisting of a hydroslide and a river-like pool at a resort. There is a building with flat roofs, in which land towers can be placed upon. On the ground is a stony floor that towers can be placed on. The pool can support water towers that do not block the pathway of the bloons, but the hydroslide only allows bloons to traverse through. Floats on the water and between the hydroslide each can support land towers up to Monkey Ace, but not Heli Pilot or Banana Farm. The slide exiting the roof of a resort building can also support land towers, regardless of mislogic of the safety of literally standing on a slide. Upon loading the map, a non-playable monkey in board shorts slides down the hydroslide.

Bloons alternate between the pool and the hydroslide; every odd round, the bloons go from the top of the pool and float downwards underneath the hydroslide, while every even round the bloons go from the top of the hydroslide downwards, including loop-de-looping. The Bloons on the pool moves at 90% speed as normal.

Strategy[]

Main article: Water Park/Strategies

Summary[]

Water Park generally aims to introduce the player to handle alternating lanes; in this case, the even-numbered lanes traverse along the waterslide, and odd-numbered lanes through the pool. Placement for central coverage may look tricky at first, but is fairly simple with the usage of long-ranged towers. There is good coverage at the roofs and miniature slide to place the majority of defenses, even localized buffing towers such as Monkey Village. Note that this map is somewhat limited in terms of placement for Banana Farms and max-Farm Monkeyopolis, although the middle of the buildings are suitable for providing wide coverage to multiple large-footprint towers. The water in Water Park isn't very strategical for defensive purposes, since the waterslide cannot be easily targeted by water towers, leaving most water towers to only have capability of reaching even-numbered rounds.

Tips[]

  • Make use of the slide for early-game advantage.
  • 0-1-1 Boomerang can be used to start the game efficiently as a single tower. If you place it correctly on the bottom center of the slide, so that the top edge of its range circle goes perfectly through the center lines of the palm fronds when the tree is at the lowest part of its sway, you can upgrade 0-1-1, 0-1-2, 0-2-2 and carry the entire early game. It even saves enough to go 0-2-3 and go all the way through Round 39 with no assistance needed apart from handling camo, but once you're at 0-2-2 you can swap into whatever you want. There's still plenty of room at the bottom of the slide for a wide range of towers to be placed there.
  • Beast Handlers positioned in the central position can gain enough range from contributing handlers to allow dinosaurs to reach many important vantage points across the map, such as the entrances, various loops, many of the floaties in the pool, and intersections of the lanes.

Quotes[]

Sometimes Bloons want to cool off a bit too, whether it be on the waterslide or floating down the lazy river. But this is a Monkey Water Park so we can’t simply let them play around on their own!

Trivia[]

  • Water Park was teased for the release of Reality Warper Phayze.[1]
  • When answering a question on 8th September 2023 blog about the canonical reasons for new maps, Ninja Kiwi commented that they are surprised that Bloons have invaded a water park, just like the Water Park map.
  • For some reason, the Monkey on the table in the teaser is staring at Phayze, but doesn't appear to even care.
