Vigilant Sentries

Vigilant Sentries is an upgrade in the Support Monkey Knowledge tree introduced in the Version 12.0 update, along with the Engineer Monkey in Bloons TD 6. When Vigilant Sentries is unlocked, all Sentries created by an Engineer Monkey lasts +5 seconds longer, for a total of 30 seconds compared to 25 seconds. This affects Sprockets, Sentry Expert, and Sentry Champion sentries as well, and also for Master Builder's mini-Modified Paragon Sentry. To unlock Vigilant Sentries, the player must have 3 Knowledge Points invested into the Support Monkey Knowledge tree, and the 'One More Spike' MK unlocked.

Summary[]

Vigilant Sentries adds more uptime to all Sentries, no matter which upgrades the Engineer Monkey has. Vigilant Sentries has a downside however, due to the Champion Sentries delayed explosions due to the MK adding more uptime to them. Some upsides is that the weaker Sentries are more reliable with damage and Sentry Experts special sentries can be more reliable dealing with certain Bloon types.

Tips[]

If the player doesn't usually utilize Champion Sentries explosions, Vigilant Sentries can allow Champion Sentries to deal more damage before exploding.
- However, if the player does utilize Champion Sentries explosions, the player should manually trigger explosions instead of relying on the Champion Sentry to explode automatically, due to the increased lifetime.
With increased uptime, the Engineer Monkey can place even more sentries on average, this includes for Sentry Expert and Sentry Champion.
- Specifically, this allows the 1-0-0 Engineer to have three sentries placed at all times, and the 2-0-0 to have 5 sentries placed at a time, compared to 2 and 4. This is slightly misleading, however, as when the third/fifth sentry is placed, the last placed sentry will expire. The times of the Sentry Expert and the Sentry Champion are the same as the 2-0-0 Engineer, without buffs of course.
