Trap is an attack style characterized by using an attack to trap bloons, forcing affected bloons to undergo the attack behavior of this particular attack, usually a fatal death of the bloon. It is part of the damage types family.
Trap is represented on the Bloons Wiki as , the upgrade artwork for Bloon Trap in Bloons TD 6, depicting a bloon getting trapped into a Bloon Trap. It always had a animation to force the killing of bloons. Trap is often accompanied with Instakill and the obvious examples also have On-Track . It is separate from Squeeze in that Trap is always fatal to the targeted bloon, whereas the bloon or its children may survive coming out of Squeeze.
Attacks with both Trap and On-Track are traps that are placed on the track. Bloon Trap and Obyn Greenfoot's Wall of Trees are examples of this.
Attacks with Trap but no On-Track are often hook-based or produced by magic. Monkey Pirates, Pirate Lord, Navarch of the Seas, Druid of the Jungle, and Psi are examples of this case.
Most towers require an upgrade to gain Trap.
