Strategy[]

Train Boss is generally conceived as a useless and not an effective ally in attacking due to its slow speed, Another downside Train Boss has is his inability to pop Lead Bloons and Purple Bloons, so the player should add towers that have lead-popping and purple-popping, this will ensure that attacks can pop any bloon type until Camo Bloons appear.

Train Boss can be compared to Lumpy Space Princess due to both having stunning abilities. LSP is relatively better due to greater base pierce, faster speed and cheap cost and upgrades. Altough players may pair LSP with Train Boss for more time to give to attack.

The Train Boss is capable of soloing up to round 10 and beyond on single lane maps, but is much more powerful with a strong hitter like Dungeon Finn right in front of him to attack the bloons that are knocked back.

Do not place Train Boss right in the start of the track or ahead of the main attacker, this will make his ability of knockback useless with no supporting attacks to help. Place him behind the attacker in case that a bloon passes by them Train Boss will use his attack to knock back bloons into the attacker. This will also affect MOABS with his slowing ability, giving more of the reason to place him near a group of towers.

Summary[]

Train Boss is not a game-changing ally. If appearing in Martian Games, players should save their Martian Crystals for better options like Grob Gob Glob Grod or the premium characters. Likewise, Train Boss should only be obtained once by completing Dungeon Train.

Only equip him if you have extra space from a character with the least potential for strong allies such as Max, replace him if you have better allies to switch with such as COBRA and Technological Terror.
