- For the term used to describe balance changes that improve a tower's strength, see Buff.
Tower Buffs are statistical improvements for towers affected by other towers. Tower buffs make its first appearance since Bloons Tower Defense 3 with the introduction of the Monkey Beacon in said game. Most tower buffs involve the Monkey Village (or Monkey Beacon pre-BTD5), but some towers such as Overclock can directly affect an individual tower. In Bloons TD 6, tower buffs are categorized by a little icon showing the buff above the tower's head if it can receive that buff.
When it comes to the damage types family, tower buffs are marked as Tower Buffs , which represents the icon for a random Tier 5 Instamonkey. All tower buffs are accompanied with Targets Tower(s) , as the tower providing the buffs must affect towers to apply its buffs.
This page will provide a condensed guide on towers that have tower buffs.
- For an in-depth statistical analysis, see List of Tower Buffs with stats changes.
Most towers have an option to provide tower buffs. Almost all tower types can accept tower buffs of any kind, with the key exception of Paragons, which can only be buffed by either themselves or other Paragons. The only way to let Paragons get "buffed" by regular towers is to add Cripple status effects onto bloons, allowing bloons to become vulnerable to extra damage. Several towers cannot accept specific tower buffs that are normally universal otherwise; a notable example is Etienne not accepting Alch buffs.
Certain tower buffs are considered Charge , which are applied and/or temporary, as opposed to Influence which are both permanent and based on aura. Charge also includes self-buffs. Transform is rather a transformation instead of a tower buff, which transforms them into usually more powerful versions of the originals.
Notably, Gravelord Lych steals tower buffs, but only steals non-hero tower buffs considered Charge (includes self-buffs) rather than Influence .

Trivia[]
- In Bloons TD 6, all Magic Monkeys have some form of option that grants tower buffs, although this was formerly not the case for Wizard Monkey prior to the Version 11.0 Prince of Darkness buffs that allowed it to buff Necromancers.
- Adora formerly didn't have an upgrade that granted tower buffs, but was changed since she got a small buff in Version 23.0 (?) that allowed her Blood Sacrifice ability to influence herself and nearby Sun Avatars, of which the latter is considered a tower buff.
- The Village unsurprisingly has the most amount of unique buffs in one single tower, with 12 different ways to buff the player's towers.
- The only three upgrades that don't give a direct buff to the towers is Bigger Radius, Grow Blocker, and Monkeyopolis.
- It is impossible for a tower to receive all the tower buffs in the game due to the number of Heroes that give at least a buff (even in Co-op mode) due to at least five heroes having a buff of some kind and due to the class system (Primary, Military, Magic, Support) restricting the amount of towers that can be buffed.
