Tower Buffs are statistical improvements for towers affected by other towers. Tower buffs make its first appearance since Bloons Tower Defense 3 with the introduction of the Monkey Beacon in said game. Most tower buffs involve the Monkey Village (or Monkey Beacon pre-BTD5), but some towers such as Overclock can directly affect an individual tower. In Bloons TD 6, tower buffs are categorized by a little icon showing the buff above the tower's head if it can receive that buff.
When it comes to the damage types family, tower buffs are marked as Tower Buffs , which represents the icon for a random Tier 5 Instamonkey. All tower buffs are accompanied with Targets Tower(s) , as the tower providing the buffs must affect towers to apply its buffs.

In Bloons Adventure Time TD, a different array of external tower buffs exists.
Instrument weapons, wieldable by Marceline, Jake, and Tuxedo Jake, boost characters in their range by a lesser effect than whatever the instrument gives to the wielder. The Lute Suit and Treetrunk's Apple Knife trinkets function similarly.
Tower buffs can be triggered by equipment use quirks. The Royal Medal for Heroic Bravery boosts damage if its wielder is in Princess Bubblegum's range. The Cursed Ice Ring is triggered by a female wielder standing near a male character, and also passes on the buff to Ice King if he is near the wielder. Conversely, the male-exclusive Black Bow Tie's tower buff is triggered by a female character being in the bowtie-wielder's range.
A fully upgraded Lemonhope boosts affected towers' attack speeds by 30%. Lemonhope can select up to two characters to boost at any time, similarly to a Tech Bot.
Water Nymph's Cheerleading boosts the attack speed of any character standing in the same body of water as her.
