Increase cash production from all of your towers and Bloon pops by 25% for the rest of the round and the entire next round!
~ Bloons TD 6 description

Thrive icon

Thrive is a Power in Bloons TD 6. It can be purchased for BloonjaminsIcon.png70. When used, it increases income gain from popping Bloons and income sources by 25% for the current round and next round. This effect stacks with other income boosting upgrades such as Monkey Town and Monkey City.

Rather than instant like Cash Drop, Thrive works best when developing income during the early mid-game and beyond. It especially synergizes well with greedy income generation playstyles, especially for pure Banana Farm strategies and Merchantmen farming strategies. Take care to activate Thrive before potential income-related trouble arises, as it takes some time for the Thrive effects to gain more value than a single Cash Drop.

  • Think of Thrive as a weaker global Monkey Town but stronger global Monkey City. Instead of +50% income per pop, it's +25% income per pop, and +25% pure income instead of +15% pure income.
  • Thrive is basically a weaker global Monkey Town in the absence of other income-generating towers.
  • Use Thrive on rounds where Monkey Town would be optimized, as Thrive's main power is from its income-per-pop portion. Pre-plan the use of Thrive by using it on rounds where a lot of income can be earned from popping bloons. The other general income portion is mainly just a mere extra benefit.

Version History[]

Buffed to benefit more sources of income. Visual effects beyond a simple one-off "throwing of gold coins animation" were added to visibly identify an active Thrive.
Thrive has been one of the least understood Powers in the game, and that misunderstanding has only added to the use case delta vs Cash Drops. To improve balance Thrive has been upgraded.

  • Buff In addition to increasing the Cash Generation of towers that generate cash, Thrive will now also increase the amount of Cash gained from Bloon pops for its duration
  • Buff New visual effects have been added to Thrive to show that it is currently active

Extra Notes (Version History)[]

  • Bloons Wiki initially assumed that Thrived works the way it now does since Version 25.0. Somehow, the wording in the leading section now works exactly as was first described.

  • A Monkey Knowledge Point, called "Supa-Thrive," increases the income gain from 25% to 30%
  • While Thrive can be used in Deflation Mode, it will have no effect since the player cannot gain any money from pops.
  • On Version 25.0, the description of Thrive was changed to add "[...] and Bloon pops [...]", which accommodates its new additional effect.
