  • The master alchemist upgrade is pretty OP, is it not? I love the upgrade to bits, but it can transform any bloon up to a ZOMG to a red bloon! I guess it's fine since it doesn't give you the money for popping that much, but what do you think?

    • If Obyn Greenfoot can pop ANY bloon and repeatedly using Wall of Trees, it is nowhere near OP.

    • Guess you could use it at the back with Spactories so you'll lose 1 health/Bloon

      Get rekt boi

Btw do Regens grow back to their original size or stay Reds forever?

    • Well, it throws potions pretty slow unless you have the monkey knowledge

    • Hold on guys... I think I found a new strategy...

      • Bomb Blitz + Support Chinook + Bloon Master Alchemist

Support Chinook can give you lives and cash (so you can get more of them!) Bloon Master turns anything except BADs into Red Bloons, and incase a Red Bloon were to leak, Bomb Blitz activates and all Bloons BFBs or lower get destroyed instantly. Also the reason why I use Chinook over Farm or Supply Drop, but farms can help a lot.

    • So technically, you leak a life, everything dies and get a net profit of some lives? Neat-o, I'll use it if I get BMA, BB, and SC

    • Not the best strategy, but it can work at times. Gotta love Bloon Master Alchemist.

Also, yes, Regen gets stripped from Regen Bloons.

Camo also gets stripped off, but I believe you need a Radar Scanner Village for that.

    • Bloon Master Alchemist could use a nerf, mostly with the price. Ninja Kiwi tried to balance the upgrade so that the shrink potions rarely get thrown. The price (40,000 on Medium) is very low for a powerful 5th tier. If I were nerfing it, I would probably make the tower more expensive, like 75,000. Or the price could stay the same, but the upgrade would not be able to work on ZOMGs. I'm so glad it doesn't work on B.A.D.s though.

The problem with the tower is that you only can get it in the later rounds, when tons of MOAB class bloons come out. That means that the no grouped popping power isn't much of a problem.

    • Honestly, I think it's a very bad upgrade. BMA doesn't give you any of the money you would've had for popping the original bloon. A ZOMG gives about $6K when popped, but with BMA you get $1. When taking this high rounds the BMA may end up causing your downfall because you don't have enough money!

Well, there are several factors your not considering here:

      • By the time you are fighting ZOMGs, you are facing a heavy penalty in cash gains for each pop, reducing the likes of a $6000 dollar ZOMG substantially.
      • If you really need income when ZOMGs are out, Banana Farms and its alternatives are far better for the above reason. So at the loss of deminished money, you gain basically a ZOMG instant kill.

Unless you really want to use this thing in CHIMPS mode, which is highly questionable due to the sheer cost of the tower itself and going through not one but two dud upgrades just to get to this point just to purchase this.

    • Yeah, don't forget other sources of cash, Wall of Trees and Banana Farms. And also, when you get the BMA you will probably get a rush of ZOMGs, so this will probably save your life.

    • I can understand the use of this in freeplay, but in impoppable/CHIMPS, there are much better alternatives. If you're using it for grouped MOAB-class popping power, the 0-2-5 ice tower or the 5-2-0 bomb tower are better alternatives that pop the ZOMGs just as well + stall them substantially. The 5-2-0 bomb with a 2-x-x village almost perma-stalls ZOMGs and when either are under an 2-2-0 village they have great DDT popping power, all without losing money.

    • Bloon Master helps out a lot on the packed ZOMG levels on Impoppable. It's a tower meant to slowly trim down high rank packs that could screw you over with ceramic rushes. I tried some decent strategies on Cubism before beating it on Impoppable. Usually had a Grandmaster, Tack Zone, Village, etc. I finally worked it out with Bloon Master and Icicle Impale, and other insane, crowd trimming, MOAB effective towers, like something for the BAD, since the Bloon Master can't shrink it, and the Ice monkey can't pull off that essential slowdown on it. So it is kind of a tower meant to prevent devastating rushes from MOAB class bloons that are ZOMG/DDT or lower. I don't think it's meant for lesser bloons. Maybe Ceramics? Definitely not lower than rainbow though.

Actually it throws very, very slowly, as I tested. It is kinda useful on Strong, but starts to mess up your income. Well, I use it ALL the time on Hard mode.

    • I agree. As slowly as it shoots, the Bloon Master is a pretty good Alchemist. I think that the slow fire is just to make sure bloons can actually survive. BAD bloons are a big weakness, but they're rare at least.

    • I tend to use the Bloon Master Alchemist once I reach around Round 90+ and once I obtain decent income generation sources. Since no money is gained from shrinking the bloons, I would often require the other towers to do the dirty work of popping the bloons down. But in rounds such as 90+, where MOAB-class gain speed and health really quickly, this is where Bloon Master Alchemist would come in handy, especially against Fortified ZOMGs. I still be sure I have good backup MOAB-class poppers too, such as Dark Knights, along with strong MOAB-class poppers enhanced by Alchemist potions (the Path 1 upgrades).
