    • 3-2:18 layers per shot & 0.71 shot per second (12.78) & COST 7600

      2-3: 7 layers per shot & 2.07 shot per second  (14.49) & COST 7100

But when a 3-2 attacks ceramics it does 104 damage per shot.

Layers per second ≠ Damage per second

    • Depends on the situation, in bloons monkey city I prefer 2/3 snipers because usually bloons come in groups, which overwhelm the deadly precision sniper. The SAR sniper pops rainbows to reds in 1 hit and pops a ceramic to yellows in 2 hits, which can be cleaned up by other towers.

Yup. I prefer 2/3 more, especially in "Cluster Chaos" tile in BMCM.

Why would you use Snipers in Cluster Chaos!?

    • I tend to prefer 2/3 Snipers over 3/2 Snipers. The 2/3 Snipers pop more in terms of how many bloons but also pops a considerable amount of layers. Even though this is only worth a whole Zebra's pop, it makes the bloons into smaller pieces for things like Spike Factories to cope with better. Put your 1 2/3 Sniper on Strong, and your other 2/3 Snipers on Last, then Close (but never "first" as they may target the weak bloons or may be cancelled out by another 2/3 Sniper).

However, 3/2 Snipers and 2/3 Snipers do not go well together, as the weaker 2/3 Sniper set Strong will pop the, for example, a Ceramic Bloon first and leave the 3/2 Sniper set Strong to pop weak bloons that could've been popped just as well by a 2/3 Sniper.

Even 1/3 Snipers I feel are better than 3/2 Snipers, as they trim the bloons into smaller pieces for towers to pop down better, even if it is just trimming many Rainbow Bloons into Yellow Bloons. However, sometimes having 1/3 Snipers backfire when there are Glue Gunners without Glue Splatter or any other tower that requires focus on one bloon per shot, such as other Snipers, as sometimes the children of those popped bloons are Fast Bloons.

And plus, you can even start upgrading the Semi-Automatic Rifle Snipers into Supply Drop Snipers, to give cash every 60 seconds (as long as you activate ability regularly!) and earn cash long-term on long rounds, particularly good for endgame rounds in BMC's Contested Territory or BTD5.

Why Snipers in Cluster Chaos? Perhaps you could use those to make Ceramics into tiny as chunks when set the 2/3 Sniper to Strong, which then Spike Factories or similar "mop" towers (such as 4/2 Ninjas) can clean up easily.

Layers per second ≠ Damage per second

And there is a point that Bihapove says about Layers per second ≠ Damage per second. Think about that fast popping of 7 layers 3x fast vs. a single popping of 18 layers at normal Sniper speed. That would be a lot against non-MOAB-class. It would be horribly expensive to cause stunning effect by Cripple MOAB if going for 4/2 Snipers, and plus that would only affect one MOAB, BFB, ZOMG or DDT at a time. The $13500 + $4000 could've been spent on things like more MOAB Maulers, upgrading your Super Monkey to Robo-Monkey and getting Plasma Blasts, or even getting a Bloonchipper with Super Wide Funnel (mobile only).

    • Cripple MOAB is a support upgrade, not really something you would make too many of. I personally like to have 2 of them past round 100s, so one can set to hit first so it slows the line of ZOMGs, while other locks a strongest one in place.

Also, you wouldn't be getting cripple MOAB until you get past round 90s or so, which by the time would't be much money to spend thanks to the factories and supply drop snipers.

    • Sup, 2/3 (Semi-Automatic Rifle) is still best.
