  • I think the Heli-Pilot should be added on to the BTD5-Deluxe game, it's a bit more expensive to get than the portable version, and it gets an extra normal tower while the deluxe only gets two. Who else agrees?

    • I agree I want to see how powerful it really is

        Loading editor
    • Heli-Pilot is overpowered. You can beat all of easy on every track (I haven't pulled it off on Drag Strip, though, stupid leads) with it upgraded to 4-2. Don't even get me started on its speciality building. -20% building room? Ultra fast persuit mode? oh my god.

And did I mention 2-4 Heli-Pilot can drop crates that give you around 2,000 money and around 55-70 lives? Yeah. I'd LOVE for it to go to the PC.

    • . We payed $3 to get it on the iOS. Don't you think we deserve something exclusive?

        Loading editor
    • These guys who paid more for the Deluxe version think they should have gotten the thing as iOS users who paid $3 for their version of the game. LOL

        Loading editor
    • The thing is that Deluxe costs considerably more than the iOS game, that's why the people who own deluxe want to get everything that Bloons TD5, as a whole, has to offer in one package. I think that would only be fair. Also, I own both the Deluxe version and the iOS version and I must say that, as a Deluxe owner, I feel especially screwed over by the latest patch to the iOS version where the iOS version got the Monkey Engineer. Deluxe should have gotten the Heli Pilot simultaneously for that to be even remotely fair.

        Loading editor
    • They should also get more new towers for deluxe not just the heli pilot

    • IP:81.236.241.192

Indeed, if the monkey Engineer was for iOS, why the Heli-Pilot could not go to Deluxe? Not to mention that Deluxe version is much more expensive than the portable version (iPhone, iPad, and Android versions in HD)

        Loading editor
    • I think it should go to deluxe. Us deluxe users paid $15 for 3 exclusive agents, 2 exclusive towers, and all those tracks. IOS is 1 fifth the price, being $3, and got monkey farmer and engineer, removing the exclusiveness to an agent and tower. IOS also gets Monkey Lab, which is basically free premiums like deluxe, and exclusive tracks like deluxe.

    • I also agree that the Helo should be added. I'm going to get Deluxe really soon, but I've seen it already, and the Dartship and Support Chinook would make Deluxe appreciably better. Also, a $3 game should not really have more to offer than a ~$15 game.

    • Guys, The Heli is OP, in one of my games in IOS, I went all the way to about 12000 lives just using the abilities (I lost because of some glitch that made me loose the game). But if you have an IPad, the HD version is $5, so It is olay to me, since I paid more. But Helis are really overpowered comapred to its buying price (1275 on easy). The tier 4 upgrades are expensive, but the Support Chinhook ability to give you money and lives can easily give you more than what you paid.

    • Read my previous comment before you guys hate me on this coz while I do agree that Deluxe users should have a chance to try the Heli Pilot on their desktops, I don't see how the Follow Touch targetting system is gonna work on the PC. Are we going to have to press the left mouse button (right for left-handed setting) for the targetting? That might work but having at least one Engineer around making those supposedly useful sentries kinda makes selecting kinda difficult coz, let's admit it, those sentries are pesky when selecting other towers on the track. That just sucks doesn't it? Other than that, said targetting system kinda feels similar to the Dartling Gun's style of play where it's barrels simply follow the cursor so I guess it could work. Darn it, give us Heli Pilot, Ninja Kiwi!

    • Good Thethirdpathcometh if one of the towers deluxe versions came to be part of the laptop, then it is more than fair, the Heli pilot is also the deluxe version. Not only because it is more expensive. but also because if you compare with the Deluxe version, free version of the Web, are almost equal, while the free version is now the co-op mode.

    • I want the Bloonchipper for iOS, and Heli Pilot for Deluxe. Add the tracks of iOS to the Deluxe, and also my favorite mission: No Escape!. Can you add the Deluxe Content to iOS, also? Please...

        Loading editor
    • Maybe we could start a petition on Ninja Kiwi for them to add the iOS content to deluxe.

Me? I honestly don't care about Pursuit. I could kick more ass with a mouse.

From what I understand, Culumon, you're on our side. Funny thing though about the Co-op mode. Ever since it came out, the game stopped providing new updates. I've been waiting for the double monkey money weekends to come so I could finally finish all the tracks AND get the only specialty building I haven't bought, the Super Monkey Lair. Nowadays, I'm too bored to even open the game just to get the free money from the chest.

Back to Heli Pilot though, I think it's too redundant. Its weaponry isn't that far off from the Dartling Gun and the only thing that makes it unique is its varied forms of offensive styles. Also, the creators shouldn't have stopped at just the Hydra Rockets, why not add the Laser Cannon too? It would have made more sense if the Apache Dartship looked like it had Dartling Gun shooters inside it. The Dartling Gun would still have been a fine tower on its own since it still had more fire power with the BADS and the Ray of Doom so it would have been okay for them to coexst.

Still, the price aspect makes makers of the game and its other versions beholden/indebted to their fans to give what we deserve. If there was a more technical reason why the Heli Pilot cannot be used on a non-touch screen medium, then the iOS' advantage is completely forgivable. However, as I have mentioned before, the Follow Touch seemed to still be usable on a desktop/laptop, therefore, why not?

    • If it was too overpowered, why would they have added it to IOS in the first place? It doesn't really matter how overpowered it is, if you don't want it just don't use it. I just feel quite ripped off about not having it, and I think that however overpowered it is is irrelavent.

    • The iOS version and Deluxe version costs the same (if you count the Premiums in iOS). iOS is $2.99 or $3 USD ($4.99 or $5 USD if HD) and Deluxe is $14.99 or $15 USD. Only premiums in iOS are Double Cash ($9.99 USD), Healthy Bananas ($0.99 USD), and Bigger Beacons ($0.99 USD). iOS, which totals up to $14.96 USD... $0.03 difference...

Who uses premiums anyway? The only reason I could think of someone to use premiums is if you are terrible at the game.

I actually only started using premiums after my girlfriend got the deluxe version. Splodey Darts made the Wizard Lord mission too easy although I could also beat it with just bomb towers. I guess I only use premiums 'cause they're fun. I for one have bought and upgraded all but the Super Monkey Lair in the online game, meaning, playing daily has become meaningless especially knowing that the Lair only makes it difficult for me to use apprentices which are cheaper and the only advantage for supermonkeys will be the camo vision. Not to offend anybody but after some time, the game gets pretty old. The premiums on the other hand makes the game interesting at least for me. And I think another reason why some of us need premiums is because sometimes we need that tiny push to finish Expert and Extreme tracks. I myself haven't finished a single Extrene track in any of the versions.

Anyway, on the Heli Pilot, I just got me my own Android version of the game and frankly I found the tower as expendable as any when you know how to use the cheaper towers. I've finished off hard levels with just Dart Monkeys, Boomerang Throwers, Ninja Monkeys and Engineers for my main offense. I just bought and upgraded my first Engineer's Workshop (second specialty building I bought in this version after the Dart) and finished an intermediate map on hard difficulty mostly with 6 to 8 of these towers.

The Heli Pilots is simply just another tower although it was through the use of this tower where I found how easy the usually hard rounds/maps/difficulties can get with a pair of these. It's not that it's "overpowered" (although that word sounds wrong, grammatically incorrect and misused--to be overpowered means to BE dominated, which basically is the opposite of what everybody else is trying to say with the initials OP). Rather, it becomes too cheap, being not that far off from the Spectre which is another tower that seems to be underpriced. This fact is more obvious when you realize that iOS and Android versions of BTD5 give out more money than those in the Deluxe and online versions of the game.

Some people buy Deluxe just because you can buy premiums on Deluxe using Monkey Money.

btw i have all of them =)

    • Has anyone even considered the Bloonchipper's Z.O.M.G. eating powers here? And anways, they already added Engi and Heli to Battles mobile, which is FREE.

    • Guys... I use the 0/4 upgrade and put it on patrol in one spot (this is because if you have multiple heli pilots on patrol with point A and B in the same location, the helicopters go inside each other without moving each other) and use it above a monkey farmer, who picks it up. Extreme life and cash collecting.

    • Guys, for the Heli Pilot, just get Battles Mobile and work for it... And, Heli Pilot is exclusive to the iOS version, just like the Bloonchipper is exclusive to the Deluxe version.

    • I, for one, believe that the Heli-Pilot is difficult to implement (without outright click-and-drag-to-place-heli systems), and far too powerful. To get the same amount of lives per crate from banana farms each turn, you would need about 10 4/2 or 2/4 banana farms to match the 70-life-per-crate gain, AND healthy banana premiums. If deluxe users (myself included) were given a heli-pilot, then we could probably NLL no-premiums on BL lab! I consider myself skilled at BTD5, only turned away from the IOS version due to weird controls. That, and the fact that I tend to eat a lot of fried stuff. so touchscreens are rendered blobby messes in minutes. Just keep the heli-pilot to IOS. BTD5D doesn't need it.

    • They also just added the bloonchipper to IOS... I have to say, IOS is a cheaper version of Deluxe.

    • The only disadvantages are that you can't chat in co-op and some agents don't exist in IOS. But I think IOS has better quality.
