Thin Ice is an map in Bloons TD Battles 2. It was first added in Version 1.9.0, alongside Bananza and No Pain, No Gain. It is available in all arenas except ZOMG Superdome and Hall of Masters, as well as Casual Mode and Event Theatre.
Overview[]
Description[]
The map is an icy field with a lake on the bottom-left.
The map has an cartoony S-shaped path where the natural Bloons go along the bottom route while the players send bloons from the top of the map. This makes each entrance an exit. Whether the Bloons are from the top of bottom, they will go in a straight line then turn to their left and loop around the wedge before following the path to the other wedge to loop around then exiting using the opposite entrance.
There is a plot of thin ice at the top-right circular region where land towers cannot be placed but the area can be removed for $350 (?) to unlock water for more water towers. The removable area is marked by the yellow sign with the warning exclamation mark.
Strategy[]

Summary[]
Thin ice is one of the longest maps in the game with a variety of opportunistic features. It has a decent amount of good water spots, great central coverage, separate lanes, and an alright amount of open space for Farms and other large-footprint towers. As such, it is very easy to perform stalling and anti-stalling on this map.
Tips[]
- Make use of this map for farming via Bloon Trap and XXXL Trap. Lanes for sent and natural waves are separate.
- Cluster Bombs is a great choice on this map for its widespread explosions to properly make use of pierce.
Version History[]
Many players in Hall of Masters found that Thin Ice is far too flexible for a wide variety of different strategies, such as stalling and anti-stalling spots, locations for Bloon Trap and XXXL Trap to syphon natural bloons, optimal Cluster Bombs spots, and decent water for Buccaneers and Subs to maximize their potentials. As such, Thin Ice got removed in Hall of Masters since Version 1.10.
