“ | Super Monkeys need Super Range. | ” |
~ In-game description |
Super Range is the first upgrade of Path 2 for the Super Monkey in Bloons TD 6. It increases the range of Super Monkey by +10, from 50 units to 60 units, and increases pierce by +1 for all Super Monkey attacks, from 1 pierce to 2 pierce.
This upgrade costs $1,275 on Easy, $1,500 on Medium, $1,620 on Hard, and $1,800 on Impoppable.
Description[]
Overview[]
Super Range grants the Super Monkey a pair of golden cuffs and a gold trim on the end of its cape; the artwork shows it standing with left arm outstretched in front of its cape, body facing left but looking to the right.
Super Range adds +10 range and +1 pierce, for 60 range and 2 pierce, respectively.
Targeting Priorities[]
Super Range targets bloons using the standard targeting priorities. It shoots straight movement projectiles.
- First: Targets the first bloon visible within its range.
- Last: Targets the last bloon visible within its range.
- Close: Targets the closest bloon visible within its range.
- Strong: Targets the strongest bloon visible within its range.
Super Range can access the Camo Prioritization targeting priority if given the Ultravision crosspath, which when set allows the Super Monkey to prioritize Camo Bloons before any other bloon type.

Strategy[]
Summary[]
More range and more pierce are both great for Super Monkeys, especially for popping groups of bloons more reliably. It is cheaper than Laser Blasts and more cost-effective too, although without the exchanged frozen-popping versus purple-popping.
Tips[]
- This upgrade may help in hitting blimps from further away.
- 0-1-1 Super may actually be a useful but cheap option at taking down earlier rounds, more specifically to the early MOAB and its children.
Version History[]
Balance Changes[]
Added a pierce buff to give more reason for this upgrade over more dominant crosspaths on other paths. Given the value of Path 2 crosspathing and various buffs that indirectly buff Path 2 over Path 1, Super Range has gotten a small price increase. Version 41.0's price nerf raises its cost but decreases the cost of Laser Blasts; these two upgrade prices had their price gaps narrowed since then.

“ | As Super Monkey's range crosspath is too often considered unnecessary for Sun Avatar & Dark Knight we have chosen to move some of Robo Monkey's pierce down into a lower tier again | ” |
~ Ninja Kiwi |
- Super Range now also increases Super Monkey pierce by +1. Doesn't affect Robo or above.
- 35.0
- Super Range attack cooldown reduced from 0.06s to 0.045s, due to the Super Monkey attack speed buff
- 41.0
“ | We weren't sure we'd see the day but the bottom crosspath is now quite used on all Supers, especially so it seems to make Robo Monkey very powerful currently so to address a few different concerns on Super Monkey we're moving costs from top to middle crosspath | ” |
~ Ninja Kiwi |
- Super Range price increased from $1000 to $1500
- 43.0
“ | Super Monkey projectiles already travel most the map length so that total distance is being reduced and adding back via the range-focused middle crosspath. [...] | ” |
