Super Monkeys need Super Range.
~ BTD6 description

Super Range is the first upgrade of Path 2 for the Super Monkey in BTD6. It increases the range of Super Monkey by +10 and adds +1 pierce for all Super Monkey attacks. For a lower-tier Super Monkey, it basically gets a 20% range increase and a doubled pierce increase, for a total of 60 range and 2 pierce.

It costs $850 on Easy, $1,000 on Medium, $1,080 on Hard, and $1,200 on Impoppable.

Super Range grants the Super Monkey a pair of golden cuffs and a gold trim on the end of its cape; the artwork shows them standing with left arm outstretched in front of their cape, body facing left but looking to the right.

Super Range adds +10 range and +1 pierce, for 60 range and 2 pierce, respectively.

More range and more pierce are both great for Super Monkeys, especially for popping groups of bloons more reliably. It is cheaper than Laser Blasts and more cost-effective too, although without the exchanged frozen-popping versus purple-popping.

  • If needing to hit blimps from further, this upgrade may help a bit.
  • 0-1-1 Super may actually be a useful but cheap option at taking down earlier rounds, more specifically to the early MOAB and its children.

Version History[]

Added a pierce buff to give more reason for this upgrade over more dominant crosspaths on other paths.

As Super Monkey's range crosspath is too often considered unnecessary for Sun Avatar & Dark Knight we have chosen to move some of Robo Monkey's pierce down into a lower tier again
~ Ninja Kiwi
  • Buff Super Range now also increases Super Monkey pierce by +1. Doesn't affect Robo or above.

Official artwork[]

  • In BTD5, Super Range had the same tower design as the unupgraded Super Monkey, but in BTD6 the Super Monkey wears brass wristbands.
  • In Easy mode in BTD6, it is the only Super Monkey upgrade to be below $1k cash.
