Bloons Wiki

It's a bird. It's a plane. It's a squadron of flying super-powered laser beamin' monkeys who destroy every single bloon on the screen and do big damage to MOAB-class bloons.
~ Official BTD5 Description

The Super Monkey Storm is a Special Agent in Bloons TD 5. It has a similar role to its appearance in Bloons TD 4, though it is no longer an upgrade for the Monkey Beacon and is bought with Monkey Money instead of cash.

The Super Monkey Storm summons a squadron of Super Monkeys to attack all Bloons on-screen. After a short delay (0.63 seconds), it instantly destroys all standard Bloons and deals 500 damage to MOAB-Class Bloons, which can soak through to their descendants. In the mobile, PC, and console versions, it cannot hit Bloons that are inside tunnels.

The Super Monkey Storm can be purchased for Monkey Dollar50. Using 50 Super Monkey Storms (equivalent to Monkey Dollar2500) permanently unlocks the Super Monkey Storm Pro.

Strategy[]

Summary[]

An instant source of damage to wipe out Bloons in an emergency. It is not too expensive for an Agent that assuredly wipes out all normal Bloons and does big damage to blimps, and can even eliminate MOABs and severely weakened BFBs outside of Freeplay. Be wary of the 0.63-second delay when using it, especially on shorter tracks, as the Bloons could escape if not used early enough.

Tips[]

  • The Super Monkey Storm can soak through blimp layers, just like Ground Zero. Unlike Ground Zero, it has a short cooldown after being deployed before the effect activates.
  • The Super Monkey Storm does not affect Bloons that are inside tunnels in the mobile, PC, and console versions. Be sure to use it when the target Bloons are outside of a tunnel.
