“ | Throws hundreds of darts at hypersonic speeds with a huge attack range. | ” |
~ In-game description |
The Super Monkey is a Magic-class tower. It throws one dart every 0.045 seconds that deals 1 damage per hit. It is specifically built for incredible DPS, primarily suitable for a late-game defense.
The Super Monkey is the fastest attacking base tower in the game, throwing at approximately 22.22 darts per second (equivalent to 0.045s cooldown per shot) each with 1 pierce and 1 damage. The Super Monkey actually has a medium-sized footprint in this game, equal to that of a Boomerang Monkey, Wizard Monkey, or Engineer Monkey; this allows large quantities of Super Monkeys to tightly fit around defensive locations, shutting down rushes with ease. Being the most expensive base tower in the game, the Super Monkey is considered one of the strongest 0-0-0 towers.
The base price for Super Monkey is $1800. It is unlocked by spending 750, unlocking all upgrades up to Tier 4, plus another 1500 to unlock all its Tier 5 upgrades.
Description[]
The Super Monkey in Bloons TD 6 (and by extension, Bloons TD Battles 2) has a similar appearance to the Super Monkey in Bloons Super Monkey 2 Mobile. The "B" logo on its chest from earlier generation games has been replaced with a dart symbol instead. Compared to Bloons TD 6, not much has changed about the Super Monkey; it's still a good DPS tower with a high price.
Each path of the Super Monkey has the tower follow a different evolution from third-tier upgrades beyond.
The first path is a heavenly one, turning the Super Monkey into an Avatar of the Sun God.
The second path transforms the Super Monkey through experimental cybernetics and weaponry.
The new third path makes the Super Monkey a traditional anti-hero inspired by the Dark Knight iteration of Batman, contrasting with the original Super Monkey's Superman.'

Strategy[]
Summary[]
The Super Monkey is a magic monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2 that is great for DPS, but it is expensive and subpar for early-midgame defense. Usually, it is oriented for its incredible late-game defense. That being said, its early-game and mid-game isn’t terrible when given additional support, particularly with various synergies from normal Adora.
Tips[]
- Monkey Village is a good pair with Super to accompany its incredible DPS potential if oriented for late-game.

Version History[]
Balance Changes[]
Just like its Battles 1 counterpart, the Super Monkey is rarely used in most games due to its sheer cost and inability to be used in early game and midgame (Most notably round 13) rushes. Despite its Dark Night and Tech Terror upgrade excelling at ZOMGs and DDTs, its BAD damage is considered to be a bit too inefficient to be effective. Instead, it is often reserved for special events like Play with Fire due to money being much more available and easy to stockpile. Currently, the only common loadout used in normal games with Super Monkey is Super-Dartling-Farm/Village, which is often paired with DJ Benjammin to help Dartling against mid-game rushes. It is also meta on Thin Ice, with the strategy Engi-Farm-Super with Churchill.

“ | We have made significant adjustments to a lot of Super Monkey’s upgrades, as we feel like Super Monkey is not and has never been properly balanced for this game. While its main strength is its late game and we want to keep it that way, we do not think it should be to the extent where it has almost no use in the early/mid game. Therefore, we are making some pretty big price cuts to the early tiers, while adjusting the tier 3s to balance out these price cuts so that they don’t become too strong. A lot of the higher tiers have either been too expensive or too inefficient to have any practical use in ranked matches, and we want to change that. Legend of the Night’s price tag was justifiably high for what it did, so it had to be reworked to receive a price cut. True Sun God (without sacrifices) was actually incredibly weak for its extreme price tag, with a lot of its strength coming from the weapons/buffs it receives and provides from sacrifices. We wanted to shift more of its strength to the vanilla weapon, as it should always be a powerful tower given its hefty price. Therefore, in addition to a giant price buff, we have increased its damage while weakening some of the strongest sacrifice benefits. Tech Terror has proven to be a great ability with the knockback addition, so we have slightly lowered its effectiveness. | ” |
