“ | Bloons take huge damage while frozen including MOAB class bloons. | ” |
~ BTDB2 description |
Super Brittle is the 5th upgrade on Path 1 of the Ice Monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2. Functionally, it is has similarities to its BTD6 counterpart prior to BTD6 Version 34.0. The only real difference is that it costs more expensive. It can freeze up to 40 bloons per attack.
It further improves its own vulnerability effects of Embrittlement. It can freeze and affect any bloon type, including White Bloons, and Zebra Bloons, and attacks about 11% faster than Embrittlement. This upgrade's debuff stacks with Embrittlement, for a total of +5 damage. Any bloon damaged by Super Brittle takes +4 damage for 3 seconds, and for the same duration, the bloon(s) become vulnerable to attacks that normally cannot pop frozen or lead (DDTs included). MOAB-class Bloons are not frozen in place, but are permanently slowed down by 25% (via the Permafrost effect to MOAB-class, excluding BADs). Each freeze will deal 1 damage by default, while shards deal 1 damage by default, although Super Brittle also benefits from its own debuff.
It costs $34,000, and is unlocked with the other tier 5 Ice Monkey upgrades for 1500.
Strategy[]
Summary[]
Super Brittle gives a massive enhancement to damage vulnerability against MOAB-class bloons, debuffing them by making them vulnerable to +4 damage. Like in BTD6, this is especially deadly with fast-attacking multi-projectile towers like Overdrive and The Tack Zone.
Tips[]
- 5-1-0 is usually better for the faster rate of debuffing. Super Brittle likely does refreeze bloons and reapply debuffs regardless of crosspathing. However. 5-0-1 may be better in some scenarios to provide debuffs over a larger area since it already has 100% uptime for its debuffs.
- Embrittlement stacks on top of Super Brittle, so make sure to always get one nearby when getting this upgrade to get a total debuff of +5 damage.
