Sunken Columns is an Advanced Map in Bloons TD 6, released in Version 30.0 on February 8th 2022. It is inspired by the Bloons TD Battles 2 map, Basalt Columns.
Overview[]
This map takes place in a rocky underground tunnel. It has two big deep columns in shapes of hexagons seemingly cracked with a water inside of it. The sides of outside the columns are surrounded by moss patches with darkish-brown color. The bottom-left and bottom-right corners are wide enough to fit up to two Banana Farms each with ease.
The columns themselves are very deep. deep enough that Carrier Flagship is not enough to let towers see over walls, but Bloon Area Denial System's third and above turrets will if placed on the upper platform. Bloon Exclusion Zone's third and above turrets shoot over if placed on the lower platform, while the top platform lets all but the lowest turret to shoot over.
Bloons move from the top, the paths criss-cross and travel on the opposide side of map, then travel to their respective exit on the side they came from.
Two of the lakes in this map can be removed for $1000 each, which once removed reveals land, functioning similarly to the large water-filled pothole in #Ouch.

Summary[]
It should be noted that the bloon track itself acts as a line of sight blocker for all towers on the two center columns of the track, with only very slight openings near the entrance. This also includes towers such as 2xx Monkey Subs and Sniper Monkeys. Thus, only towers that are not affected by line of sight, supportive towers such as the Banana Farm and Merchantmen, or towers with global range such as Monkey Aces should be placed in the center columns. (Super Monkeys with Ultravision can also be placed in the center columns if the player has the X-Ray Ultra Monkey Knowledge enabled.) Even on top of a Carrier Flagship deck, monkeys will not be able to overcome the line of sight blocking. Although if a xx4 or xx5 Dartling Gunner is placed on the top deck of a Carrier Flagship, it will be able to damage Bloons on the track.
It should also be taken into consideration that if a Carrier Flagship is placed too close to the bloon track, towers may not be able to be placed on top of its decks. Reserve space farthest from the track in the pools for any Flagships if you're looking to place towers on top of the deck.
Tips[]
- Given how the Bloons merge at the upmost column before going the rest of the track, that column provides the perfect place to spawn camp and is able to fit as many high DPS towers which include but not limited to: Bloon Solver, Tack Zone, Super Brittle and Sauda. Then, throw in a primary village and two alches, and you have a team that can clear most of the hard game modes.
