Sun Avatar is the 3rd upgrade on Path 1 of the Super Monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2. It is similar to its BTD6 counterpart, except the cost has been drastically decreased by almost a half, as well as having more pierce. Each sunray pops 8 bloons, +1 with 3-1-0 and a total of +3 with 3-2-0. It attacks every 0.03s.
It costs $11,500, and is available after unlocking Super Monkey.
Sun Avatar is the most expensive Tier 3 option but performs huge raw DPS against all bloon types except Purples, to which it is weak against. It also means it is the best option when paired with tower buffs and bloon debuffs.
Tips[]
3-2-0 offers better pierce and range, while 3-0-2 offers knockback and built-in camo detection. The choice depends on the needs.
Compared to a 2-0-3 Dark Knight, Sun Avatar is less cost-efficient against MOAB-class, costing about 7% more. It compensates by handling ceramics better, having 1 more pierce than the Dark Knight, and scales better with debuffs.
The total cost of a 3-0-0 Super Monkey is $19,900 as of version 2.0.4. For comparison, a 0-0-3 Super costs $11,900, and a 2-0-3 costs $18,700, or $1,200 less. With triple village discounts, it’s only around a $900 difference, with the Sun Avatar costing $14,925, and the 2-0-3 Dark Knight costing $14,025.

The Super Monkey, and particularly the Sun God path, does not see a lot of use outside of a Bananza games. Reducing its base cost and the cost of Sun Avatar should hopefully make it more accessible in othe game modes.
