BSM2M Storm Cores 0 dmg to Ceramic

Storm Cores being unable to damage Ceramic Bloons in 1.0.

Storm is one of the seven weapon types in Bloons Super Monkey 2 Mobile, with the arms dealing PlasmaPlasma Type (pops Black, White, Lead, Frozen) damage, and the core dealing ShatterShatter Type (pops Black, White, Purple, Frozen) damage. Storm weapons are only available in Bloons Supermonkey 2 Mobile and are not available in the flash version. Storm weapons are generally characterized by mid range group popping power and blowback but terrible single target damage. Lategame arm weapons such as Thunder Wings and High Voltage Discharge are able to devastate groups of bloons, but struggle with single target damage. Storm core weapons and epics, notably Hurricane Monkey and Tempest Tornado, excel at pushing bloons back, but have pitiful damage and can even knock bloons off screen, thus losing out on diamond medals. While similar to Ice (BSM2)Cold Type (pops Black, Purple) weapons in that their cores both provide great crowd control utility, Ice Arms specialize in single-target damage, while Storm Arms specialize in group popping power. Note that the melee aspect of Storm Arms will not benefit from many powerups that specify projectiles or attacks, such as Turbo Boost or Super Shots .

The powerup Storm Shots deals no damage, but is thematically related to the storm category of damage.

Notes[]

Storm Cores originally did less damage and could not damage Ceramic Bloons. This was changed in Version 1.1.1 due to the poor performance of storm cores, and made Storm Cores originally one of the few damage types that did not have Ceramic-Popping Power. This is also the one of the few weapon types to receive a balance change on BSM2 Mobile.
