Splodey Darts is a Premium Upgrade for the Dart Monkey in Bloons TD 5 Flash and Bloons TD 5 Deluxe. It is the successor to Exploding Darts from Bloons TD 4.
Upon expiring (either by consuming all pierce, hitting an immune Bloon, or reaching its maximum travel distance), the Dart Monkey's projectiles will produce a small explosion that deals 1 damage and has 10 pierce. The explosion cannot pop Black Bloons or Zebra Bloons. Notably, this gives the Dart Monkey the ability to pop Lead Bloons without the Juggernaut upgrade.
In BTD5 Flash, it can be purchased for a single game for 
250 or as a permanent upgrade from the Premium Store, either by itself for 
22 or as part of the Mega Monkey Everything Pack for 250. In BTD5 Deluxe, it can be purchased as a permanent upgrade from the Deluxe Upgrades store for 5400.
Its Bloons TD 5 Mobile counterpart is the tier 4 Dart Training Facility.

Splodey Darts significantly improves the base Dart Monkey's damage output, allowing it to damage up to 11 times as many Bloons at once, as well as allowing it to pop Lead Bloons. For this reason, it is considered one of the most effective Premium Upgrades in the game and worth considering when attempting a difficult challenge.
Tips[]
- Splodey Darts is most effective in conjunction with Triple Darts, as it allows all three darts per shot to explode. A 2-3 Dart Monkey with Splodey Darts offers a very high damage output for its price range that can pop any Bloon type.
- Splodey Darts is also effective in conjunction with Super Monkey Fan Club, as it applies to Dart Monkeys even while transformed.
- While Splodey Darts does apply to the Spike-o-pult and Juggernaut, the high pierce and travel distance of their projectiles usually causes them to explode far away from the Bloons, only rarely having a meaningful impact.
- The explosion does not gain pierce from the Dart Monkey's upgrades.
