Spikey Shots is the sixth dart arm upgrade in Bloons Super Monkey 2. This upgrade replaces the stream of three darts for a single spiked ball, which are fired over three times as fast, have 20 pierce instead of three, double damage to ceramics, an increased hitbox, and four flechettes instead of two. They can't pop Lead Bloons but are an excellent all rounder weapon, especially in Flash due to the spiked balls dealing 2 damage base instead of 1.
Spikey Shots is a very powerful generalist weapon due to its fast attack speed, single target damage, and high pierce. Spikey Shots on both arms, and Solid Doom as the core power, is great for destroying all types of bloons in the flash version and is widely considered the meta loadout.
In the mobile version, Spikey Shots is still good, but is no longer the meta option, because of the greatly increased health MOABs have and its halved damage for the spiked ball. This is because weapons such as Bloon Busters scale much better with powerups than Spikey Shots.
