Snowstorm is the 4th upgrade on Path 2 of the Ice Monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2.

It grants it an activated ability, which immediately creates a damaging blizzard across the entire screen and freezing virtually every affected bloon in the process. It can freeze up to 100 bloons across a 30 range, and the arctic aura remains at 35 range.

The Snowstorm ability does 1 damage to all bloons on screen other than Leads and DDTs if not given lead-popping, then proceeds to freeze all bloons (with exceptions). It freezes most bloons for 8 seconds, but freezes Camos, Whites and Zebras and heavily slows down MOAB-Class Bloons for 4 seconds. Leads and DDTs are completely immune to any ability effect unless using the 2-4-0 crosspath or given lead-popping, to which then will be able to be dealt damage and become frozen for the full period. BADs can be damaged by Snowstorm's ability but will not be slowed down. For 8 seconds, all Ice Monkeys and Fusty the Snowman attack 2x faster.

Cooldown is 30 seconds upon activation, with no initial cooldown.

It costs $3000, and is unlocked with the purchase of Ice Monkey.

Summary[]

Snowstorm's main power is the ability that freezes all bloons on screen. It can be used to stop a rush of bloons for a while. It can also be used to empower all Ice Monkeys on screen, and further boost Snowpat synergies.

Tips[]

2-4-0 is better for affecting DDTs, while 0-4-2 is a better general use Snowstorm for the extra range and refreezing capabilities.

Trivia[]

Snowstorm doesn't have closed eyelids like in BTD6. This is shared with Jungle's Bounty and Permanent Brew.
In an unknown update, the description was changed from "Snowstorm Ability: Freezes all bloons on screen, and briefly freezes white, zebra, camo, and MOAB class." to "Snowstorm Ability: Freezes ALL bloons on screen and increases the attack speed of all Ice Monkeys."
