Sharpsplosion (Sharpslosion before Version 45.0) is a Relic Knowledge exclusive to Contested Territory in Bloons TD 6. When active, it grants black-popping power for all towers.

If Black Bloons are an issue, this is the perfect Relic to pick. While certain explosive options such as Heavy Shells already counteract the Black immunity, Sharpslosion is a perfect option for alternative explosive options such as Cluster Bombs and Recursive Clusters, Bomber Ace, Cannon Ship and Monkey Pirates, Mortar Monkeys without The Big One or Heavy Shells, Ballistic Missile, Spiked Mines, and Sentry Expert's Boom Sentry. By extension, it also allows anti-MOAB explosive options such as Fighter Planes or Aircraft Carriers (via anti-MOAB missiles) to beat DDTs.

Generally speaking, this Relic shines on game modes where explosive sources are important for a tile. The innate black-popping is particularly helpful on Time Attack tiles with an explosive-heavy loadout, as well as Least Cash and Least Tiers tiles where an explosive source is the main DPS or cleanup.

Tips[]

It is a better choice for free, early and replaceable black-popping power, instead of relying so much on Striker Jones's Black-popping power buff.
If the defense primarily relies on explosions to deal with ordinary bloons, this Relic may be very helpful.
Sharpslosion tends to work best on Least Tiers and Time Attack. However, it also works well on Least Cash with Captain Churchill enabled.
- On Least Tiers, it is handy for when a strong explosive tower, such as Ground Zero's bomb arrays, Apache Dartship's rockets, middle path Monkey Buccaneer's cannons, or Spiked Mines, are relied on for wiping out ordinary bloons without wasting pierce on Blacks and Zebras.
- On Race Events, its main use case is when spamming Bomber Aces or other explosive options. Cluster Bombs and Recursive Clusters is another good example. Cannon Ship and Monkey Pirates benefit greatly under these conditions too, as most of its grouped damage comes from its bombs.
- On Least Cash, defenses reliant on explosive towers, especially Mortars, Etienne, and Churchill, benefit best from this Relic. For Mortars, this helps much for Shell Shock and Shattering Shells. It also helps Sentry Expert for beating dense Bloon rounds effectively.
In terms of usage for Heroes, Sharpslosion is best used on:
- Captain Churchill is the biggest beneficiary for Sharpslosion in terms of heroes. He possesses high group-popping power but has a major Black Bloon weakness without his Armor Piercing Shells.
- Etienne is the next-best hero to pair with Sharpslosion, since his UCAV projectiles (his most useful damage output when obtained) pack large amounts of popping power but are also blocked by Black and Zebra Bloons. This is beneficial for tiles where he can naturally acquire Level 10+, particularly on Least Cash and Least Tiers rulesets.
- Quincy's exploding arrows and Admiral Brickell similarly benefit decently from this Relic.
- Rosalia's Grenades and Scatter Missile also benefit much from this Relic if using her to beat dense mid-game bloon rounds.

Trivia[]

Sharpsplosion is similar to the description of the Frag Bombs explosive black-popping buff in Version 28.0 (which was since reverted in Version 40.0, due to imbalance for Cluster Bombs).
The internal name for Sharpsplosion was always actually Sharpsplosion with a second "p". However, in-game before Version 45.0, it lacked the second "p", so hence should be regarded as the true original name of this Relic.
