Sharp Shooter is the 4th upgrade on Path 3 of the Dart Monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2. It is similar to its BTD6 counterpart in that it is a critting specialist with high base damage. However, it crits every 7 shots (instead of 10 shots in BTD6), starts with 6 pierce at base (7 with 1-0-4, 10 with 2-0-4), and shoot every 0.75s at base, and the first shot is always a crit. Critical hits operate much denser and much stronger than in BTD6.

It costs $2,000, and is unlocked by default.

Summary[]

Sharp Shooter deals enough damage to wipe out Purples, Whites, and Blacks, although it doesn't quite do enough reliable damage against Zebras and above to be worth as a counter against them. However, this is map dependent, as on some maps it does good enough even against Zebras or Rainbows. Sharp Shooter can also provide some alright DPS against early MOABs and their children.

Tips[]

0-2-4 is generally better for pure DPS, especially the higher crit rate, but 2-0-4 actually might do better thanks to the extra pierce. Sharp Shooter already comes with increased attack speed.
- 2-0-4 is generally better for dealing with a lot of high rank grouped bloons like Zebras or Purples, but the low crit chance makes it generally bad for Ceramic Bloons.

Sharp Shooter has been buffed overall, with a deviating per-shot crit rate upon initial release, which has since been modified into a consistent per-shot crit rate.
