Set Linear Path is a targeting option in Bloons TD 6, available for the Monkey Ace since Version 33.0 with the release of Goliath Doomship. It is exclusive to the Goliath Doomship. It is a target button that is on the center of the upgrade HUD, in between each side for the Reverse Flight targeting option. Set Linear Path sets a linear path for the mini-doomships to carpet bomb. The default path is along the primary diagonal. A valid path must be at least 100 units long.

It is important to set a proper path via Set Linear Path, which will optimize the straight-line pathing for any given attack. Set the path longer or shorter depending on the desired density of an attack. Note that the direction of the path is important too; it can change the way the attack is executed.

In particular, the Goliath Doomship's Carpet Bomb ability depends on the Set Linear Path targeting option to drop the bombs in such a way that allows the bombs to hit its targets as many times as possible while still maximizing the amount of affected targets. Try setting a path that lets the bombs go against the direction of the bloons, which should minimize any "chasing" of the bloons while spreading the damage of each bomb across many more targets. Increase or decrease the length of the path depending on the necessary density of the bombs; the smaller the path, the greater the density of the bomb drops.

Tips

• When handling Vortex with Goliath Doomship's Carpet Bomb ability, try to take into account the backwards force that Vortex naturally makes whenever hitting skull health; this behavior will alter the optimal path for dropping the bombs.
