Finn
- Unsurprisingly, the Missile Finn build is the best option in this mode because of his cheap price and access of high attack speed trinkets and sword. Naturally, you'll want to make full use of the unlimited character quantity to reach high rounds and succeed, and maximizing damage output per character is the best way to do so.
- If using a build with 4D Sword, Finn can also make use of his fast attack speed to mow down any bloon under BAD. This is at the cost of potential BAD DPS though, as the loss of attack speed from Finn Sword is significant.
Jake
- Has a unique ability that shuts down a BAD for a short duration, but other clones cannot damage the BAD while the ability is active. He can also slow down BADs with Butt Push, but otherwise his DPS is sub par.
Princess Bubblegum
- PB is overall a decent tower against non-MOAB bloons in general and can still be useful well into MOAB rounds with her Jellybeans Have Power ability.
- Her area damage attacks makes her a solid option at dealing with early grouped bloons. Coupled with the ability to harm any bloon type, she makes a very flexible character to use during Martian Games events featuring bloon modifiers.
- Her To Me upgrade works well with Lady Rainicorn and Gumbald, as copies of the former expands placement locations, and the copies of latter adds more stalling power in most parts of the map.
- Royal Decree can help build income in the earlier rounds so that more upgraded PBs can be afforded in the later rounds.
- At Level 7 or higher, she can upgrade to Soda and Mints, which further enhances her jellybean attack. It is not cheap, but makes a worthwhile difference in fighting DDT rushes.
Warrior Bubblegum
- Not a main DPS character, but her signature Born to Rule upgrade adds more copies of income-generating allies (i.e. COBRA) and powerful late-game allies (e.g. Technological Terror, Hunson Abadeer, Vampire King, Grob Gob Glob Grod) with every upgrade. Thus, cost reduction trinkets are recommended for getting as many Born to Rule WPB as possible.
- With 4D Sword (maybe also Missile) equipped, Warrior PB can also eliminate the threats of non-BAD bloons that may distract the main DPS towers.
Ice King
- Ice Bolts and Lightning Strike are the main ways Ice King can deal damage directly to MOABs.
- His Ice Bolts attack is unimpressive in damage output initially, but this weakness can be made up with Hail Storm (unlocked at level 3) and Arrows of Frozen Rain, coupled with speed and specific damage bonuses such as Baker's Shard and Enginners Blueprints, along with a good placement close to a junction.
- Note that items that increase damage directly, such as Demon Heart, will provide no benefit for Ice Bolts. Sources of specific bonus damage, such as Engineers Blueprints, will boost the damage of bolts against specified targets.
- At level 7 or higher, he can get the Big Freeze upgrade, allowing all Ice Kings with the upgrade to mass stall groups of MOABs.
- Because of his Ice Bolts being a radial spray, the amount of Ice Kings that can deal most of their damage against the same target at any given moment is not very high.
Flame Princess
- FP is quite formidable for her fast, seeking fireball attacks, even before applying upgrades or items. As she also is quite expensive to place, it is recommended for players at a lower player rank to build cash generating sources so they can build backup defenses to counter weaknesses.
- FP has a good variety of powerful weapons to choose from. Phoenix Wand boosts pierce for dense rushes plus the reliable Phoenix ability for every FP placed. Cherry Blossom Wand provides a significant attack speed and damage boost. Thought Cannon Wand boasts the best range, money generation for more clones, and status effect potency for a weapon if used with the right items.
- If equipped with Giant Tranq and Wizard Nunchuks, FP can shut down even the fiercest non-BAD rushes, keeping the player safe from DDTs.
Marceline
- Overall a cost inefficient character that lacks much utility and cost-efficient DPS compared with her alt, Hunter Marceline.
Max
- Multiple Bullseyes can chip away at MOAB health.
- Multiple Dartnados may be potentially useful for cleaning up stray bloons.
Juggernaut Max
- Juggernaut Max is quite usable in maps featuring long straight paths for early rounds. His poor single-target DPS is a problem for the BAD, so if going late he is not recommended.
Captain Cassie
- An ability focused-build can work for damaging the BAD on maps with water or with Lady Rainicorn if Captain Cassie is level 7 and above, but otherwise her potential damage output is lackluster.
Commander Cassie
- Commander Cassie can also be seem as an alternative to Warrior Bubblegum. While both characters can duplicate allies for use, Cassie has a much greater DPS with a global range attack from an upgrade. However, Cassie is much more expensive, and can only allow more copies of her own allies.
- When running Commander Cassie, it is important to know that taking her out of water sometimes can make a big difference in the player's success. It gives her more placement options, including some of the most favorable ones for the early game. This by extension allows more space for more Commander Cassies in maps with little water. Jetpack can accomplish this easily, but Lady Rainicorn can also work in a pinch.
- As Cassie lacks access of other allies, accessing her MOAB Mauler upgrade is not possible. Thus, her Triple Barrels upgrade will provide more value than Bloontonium Darts. Note that her planes will cause lots of lag if a lot of Cassies with M.A.F are spammed.
- It is recommended to use her hypersonic sidewinder glitch if planning on using her, so that less Cassies are required and thus, lategame gets less lag intensive. The glitch requires a level 5+ Commander Cassie and can be performed by activating Sidewinder and having an attack speed influence buff, such as Lute Suit or Warning Horn, then activating Plasma Goggles.

Sai
C4 Charlie
- At Level 7, his MOAB Assassin ability can be useful for dealing with BADs, but outside of his ability, his single target DPS is not great.
Sam
- Sam has fast single-target attacks that rip through individual strong bloons.
- With Plasma Goggles buffs being permanent on Sam, she is a powerful choice with Plasma Goggles, even without any upgrades. Cooldown reduction is recommended so that she can stack more Plasma Goggle buffs.
Supermonkey
- Due to Supermonkey's high initial cost of $3,000, the player needs to use income generating allies such as COBRA to gain enough funds to place down the first Supermonkey. Using several Gold Coins or one Ancient Sleeping Magi of Lifegiving also works if allies are not available.
- Naturally, it is preferred to use Sun God over Call in Friends due to the limited number of Super Fans allies available, and activating the Sun God ability powers up all Supermonkeys at once if one COBRA has Monkey Stim upgraded.
Dungeon Finn
- Multiple uses of Focused Fire can do decent damage but is not recommended later on because of its low damage output compared with alternatives.
- Otherwise, Inferno (starting from Level 7) is an excellent option against tightly packed bloons, and with multiple sources of attack speed, can do enough damage against BADs when spammed. Having some cooldown reduction for more spammable inferno is recommended.
Tuxedo Jake
- Not recommended in this rule due to inability to attack without the use of abilities like Rock Out!. Requires ability cooldown reduction trinkets and COBRA to achieve maximum attack uptime. Even then, his DPS potential is sub par.
- Multiple copies of Tuxedo Jake make great sums of money together, but the income cap of $10,000 per round makes buying additional income generating upgrades worthless in the long run.
Hunter Marceline
- Generally seen as the best character for Send In The Clones due to the variety of powerful synergies with trinkets (e.g. Demon Heart, Engineers Blueprints), very fast long range attacks, and the much needed Soul Sucking attack to excel against all bloon types.
- It is recommended that setting up multiple Hunter Marcelines with Advanced Hunter Training be prioritized first over other upgrades. Once sufficient amounts of Marcelines are placed before DDTs start appearing, then they can be upgraded, as by then the player should have enough Marcelines that going for a few Mass Soul Sucking upgrades will be worth the price.
