Scoop's Tall Tale is a Story Quest in Bloons TD 6, added in Version 38.0. It involves three subquests consisting of a trio of synergetic monkeys (Dart Monkey, Alchemist, and Engineer Monkey), assisted by several Support Chinooks, handling many enhanced bloon rounds. It requires Level 60 to unlock. Upon completing the quest, the rewards are three pre-determined Insta-Monkeys (0-0-3 Dart, 3-0-0 Alch, 0-0-3 Engineer), and 1,000.
- The first quest is set on Monkey Meadow.
- The second quest is set on a modified variation of Tree Stump with blocked off space on the stump and many more sight-blocking logs.
- The third and final quest is set on Chutes. Upon beating a number of rounds, a pre-placed 0-4-0 Tech Terror joins the fray.
Quests[]

~ "Scoop's Tall Tale" Quest introduction |
The first subquest plays Monkey Meadow on Medium Deflation with $250 starting cash and 15 lives. Abilities recharge at 50% of their normal rate. All Bloons and MOABs move at 80% of their normal speeds, and MOABs have 50% of their normal health. MK, Selling, Powers, and Continues are all disabled. Custom rounds 1-13 will be played.
Upon starting the game, a Dart Monkey, an Alchemist, and an Engineer Monkey, all 0-0-0, are pre-placed to the right side of the map and barely able to reach the track. Three 0-4-0 Heli Pilots, all locked in place on their heli pads, join in and are placed to the right of the three monkeys. The helis cannot be interacted with, unlike the three monkeys, but their Supply Crate and Redeploy abilities can be used. Two cones and three colorful fences are placed near the exit, but they are cosmetic.
The quest starts with Scoop explaining how the Chinooks dropped off the three monkeys at the scene, and the Engineer told everyone how those Chinooks could move them to better locations for defense.

Upon starting the game, the player is set on a modified version of Tree Stump with four more logs added to block Line of Sight, and a clump of five mushrooms sitting on a pile of leaves that prevent placement on top of the stump. The Dart Monkey, Alchemist, and Engineer Monkey start with 0-0-0 and are accompanied by three 0-4-0 Heli Pilots. Two cones and three colorful fences appear near the exit.

Strategy[]
General[]
- Since the Chinooks themselves are not interactable outside of their Crate Abilities and Reposition Abilities, it may be helpful to try to force the Chinooks to do a little bit of defensive action as they move towers towards different locations.
- Look for a synergetic arrangement of the Dart, Engineer, and Alchemist.
- The Crate abilities don't give any cash, as the quests are set to Deflation rules, but they can still be useful for restoring lost lives.
Strategy (Quest 1)[]
- Initial positions:
- Move the Dart Monkey to the central land spot where it can see most of the track.
- Move the Alchemist to where it can reach the Dart Monkey but away from the Engineer if possible.
- Move the Engineer to the part of the track where it can see many parts of the track.
- The best upgrades for the Dart Monkey is the Crossbow and Sharp Shooter.
- Although Spike-o-pult can deal with crowds of Bloons easily, it struggles to dish out enough damage to stronger Camos. Even with Cleansing Foam added, both towers lack sufficient Ceramic cleanup ability from MOABs.
- The Triple Shot can deal more overall damage with Alchemist buffs early on, but it loses out on being able to upgrade to a higher Ceramic/MOAB damage option for cheap (i.e. Sharp Shooter).
- Use the Alchemist to pop Leads before you can afford Acidic Mixture Dip.
- Contrary to what the quest dialogue may suggest, it may be better to upgrade the Engineer to 3-2-0 or 4-2-0 to assist with MOAB damage, or 3-0-2 or 4-0-2 for general popping.
Strategy (Quest 2)[]
- Initial positions:
- Move the Dart Monkey to the land spot between the bottom right track bend and the end of the track, and move the alchemist next to the Dart Monkey.
- Move the Engineer to somewhere below the tree stump.
- Recommended to use the same upgrades as before.
Strategy (Quest 3)[]
- Since the Bloons only go on one lane, you only need to focus on that lane.
- Time the Tech Terror ability to annihilate as many packed BFBs as possible. Don't wait for too long though, because the BFBs' children will push right through your defenses.
Trivia[]
- Scoop's Tall Tale is the second released Story Quest in BTD6.
