Sacrifice is an "attack" behavior characterized by the consumption of nearby or specific towers to gain an internal effect. It is part of the damage types family. All "attacks" with Sacrifice guaranteed to be of Passive type. Sacrifice was introduced in Bloons TD 4, with the Monkey Temple map's special temple, and later into Bloons TD 5 for the Temple of the Monkey God.
Sacrifice is represented on Bloons Wiki as , the upgrade icon for Sun Temple in Bloons TD 6, as it is one of the classic examples of a tower capable of doing sacrifices in that game. There is a subset of this called Farm Sacrifice , represented as the upgrade icon for the Monkeyopolis in Bloons TD 6. Sacrifice does not care what tower type it is as long as it fits any of the four main tower categories (Primary, Military, Magic, Support) and sometimes even Heroes. Sacrifice automatically targets towers and therefore will have Target Tower(s) .
The following towers can do sacrifices:
- The temple on the Monkey Temple track in BTD4
- Wizard Lord in the BTD5 Special Mission of the same name
- Temple of the Monkey God and Temple of the Vengeful Monkey in BTD5
- Sun Temple, True Sun God, and Vengeful True Sun God in BTD6
- Monkeyopolis in BTD6 (as a Sacrifice subset called Farm Sacrifice )
- Soulbind (removed in Version 2.0) in BTD6
- Supermonkey's Sun God ability in BATTD
- Adora's Blood Sacrifice ability in BTD6
- All current Paragons in BTD6
Most "attacks" require an upgrade to do a Sacrifice.
Trivia[]
- Monkeyopolis sacrifices cannot sacrifice other players' Farms but Sun Temple sacrifices can.
- There is currently limited information about how sacrifices canonically work in Bloons TD 6.
- Ninja Kiwi's October 15th 2021 blog implies that there is some sort of a cosmic transfer whenever towers become sacrificed, sold, or merged into a Paragon.
