Round 97 is a round in Bloons TD 6. It is the fourth-to-last round in Impoppable Difficulty and CHIMPS. It is characterized by two fortified ZOMGs.

Description[]

Simply speaking, two fortified ZOMGs spawn, with the second ZOMG spawning soon after the first.

Strategy[]

Summary[]

Round 97 is usually the easiest of the last 10 rounds of Impoppable and CHIMPS, since the two ZOMGs come alone with no other blimps protecting them. However, on some short maps like #Ouch and Blons they can pose a threat, since your Monkeys might not have enough time to defeat them. Stalling for enough time to recharge any abilities necessary to beat Round 98 is also important.

A simple stalling strategy should be able to make this round much easier to handle if you are struggling with the round. Maim MOAB is an easy example of this.

Tips[]

  • As usual, Maim MOAB can help stun one of the ZOMGs in place, not only reducing the risk of death on 97 but also for stalling purposes. For this round in particular, a 4-0-2 Maim MOAB is preferred to stun one ZOMG into place.
  • Shattering Shells easily neuters all the Fortified BFBs that spawn out of the ZOMGs by defortifying them.
  • This round may pose trouble on Bloonarius Prime, given the fact that 97 is a prime number, and bloons will go on the more difficult lane. Fortunately, Round 97 will be the last prime round to be required to beat on Impoppable and CHIMPS.
  • A First Strike ability will pop a fortified ZOMG and their children at once if the ZOMG is softened up beforehand.
  • One of the few towers that does struggle to round 97 is Prince of Darkness, due to its complete lack of single-target damage needed to take down the two fZOMGs. Taking too long on 97 will drain its graveyard completely, harming its performance on Round 98. Wizard Lord Phoenix can also suffer on shorter tracks as it may be forced to waste it's ability on the fZOMGs and leave itself defenseless against Round 98.

Trivia[]

  • In a standard set of rounds up to Round 100, this is the only round with Fortified ZOMGs.
