Round 117 is a round in Bloons TD 6. It is the 17th true Freeplay Mode round, and was one of the fixed Freeplay rounds added in Version 25.0. It is characterised by huge amounts of Lead Bloons, and plenty of really dense DDTs and Fortified DDTs.

Description[]

A steady stream of 250 Leads is present throughout this Round. Soon after they show up, 27 DDTs and 18 Fortified DDTs rush in. DDT rushes on this round are almost identical to Round 106, however their duration got much shorter than its counterpart to give less money.

Strategy[]

Summary[]

This is a hard round, not from the Leads but from the masses of DDTs and Fortified DDTs on screen coming at once. DDTs and Fortified DDTs in Extended Freeplay gain much higher health and speed compared to their Early Freeplay counterparts, and this is particularly noticeable on this round. It helps to have a reliable MOAB-class slowdown option as well as some excellent anti-DDT sources.

Tips[]

  • The Anti-Bloon ability deals enough damage to destroy the Fortified DDTs, assuming normal health scaling. The extremely wide range and lack of deployment cooldown (unlike Tsar Bomba) allows many DDTs to be wiped out at once, especially on long maps.
    • Tech Terror, while its annihilation ability has a much smaller range than The Anti-Bloon, can also wipe out Fortified DDTs on this round.
  • Try adding Absolute Zero, particularly 2-5-0, in order to force the DDTs to become as slow as possible.
  • Tsar Bomba can work on this round, but be sure to time the ability such that the deployment cooldown meets the maximum amount of DDTs without leaking. Anticipate DDT movement, and make sure the DDTs don't succeed too far before the nuke actually explodes.

Version History[]

Round 117 has been changed to become pre-determined.

Note: It is impossible to determine non-subjectively as to whether these changes are "buffs" or "nerfs", as the definition of a buff or nerf may vary, more specifically because the extra popped bloons may give more money and therefore can be considered a slight buff or nerf depending on how such a change is viewed.

25.0
  • Change Round 117 is now a pre-determined round.
33.0
To encourage challenge diversity using the new extended list of preset rounds in freeplay, we have decided to make a tweak to freeplay income tax to drop it off slightly slower and allow a little more cash to be earned naturally in this range.
~ Ninja Kiwi
  • BUFF Income-per-pop percentage increased (2% → 5%)

Trivia[]

  • This round is the last round that contains less than 100,000 RBE.
