Round 103 is a round in Bloons TD 6. It is the third determinated and thus 'true' Freeplay round after beating Impoppable and CHIMPS. It is characterized by horde of Fortified ZOMGs, many MOABs and Fortified MOABs, and lots of Purples.

Description[]

Round 103 is the first truly difficult round after dealing with the BAD. There are two phases of this round, the first phase consists many MOABs and Fortified MOABs with three tight packs of Purple Bloons, and the second phase consists packed ZOMGs. It is one of the most noteworthy rounds in boss events or challenges in Bloonarius Prime, as this round is the prime round and consists of lots of heavy blimp rushes, which could be dangerous to most players.

The round starts with 10 Fortified ZOMGs that are grouped together much like what round 98 was like, except now they are fortified. Towards the end of the wave, 100 MOABs start spawning at the fastest rate in the game up to this point, and shortly after that are 64 tight purple wave and a grouped 50 Fortified MOAB wave. A second wave of 66 tight purples spawn midway, and a final wave of 68 tight purples spawn a few seconds after all the MOABs have spawned.

Round 103 requires a reliable MOAB-popper alongside single-target damage and grouped ZOMG damage. The main issue of this round are not purples but dense packed MOABs (just like Round 63, 76, 78 Ceramics) and grouped Fortified ZOMGs. There's a lot of RBE in this round, and a lot of individual bloons too, making it wise to gather cash-per-pop generators such as XXXL Trap and Monkey Town to maximize income from this round.

Round 103 is the first round which tests grouped MOAB damage and sustainable countermeasures for sheer amount of super ceramics for whose going into freeplay in Bloons TD 6.

Consider this is the fortified version of Round 98, where 30 Fortified BFBs and 8 ZOMGs spawn. The differences are that ZOMGs are fortified and a lot more MOABs and Fortified MOABs instead of Fortified BFBs. Common countermeasures against Rounds 98-102 should be wary against this round due to the huge amount of ZOMGs (10 Fortified ZOMGs = 20 ZOMGs), far more than Rounds 98 (8 ZOMGs) and 102 (1 ZOMG + 3 Fortified ZOMGs = 7 ZOMGs). This round is much harder than previous rounds due to very high amount of RBE.

Tips[]

  • Treat this round just like Round 95 and Round 98 combined, as clumped MOABs on this round requires sustainable countermeasures against "speedy" blimps like Round 95, and Fortified ZOMGs on this round requires reliable DPS against numerous strong blimps like Round 98.
  • If using Prince of Darkness, always have a backup to clear away the Purples, allowing the chain of undead bloons to rise and do better damage against the MOABs.
  • Shattering Shells can strip BFBs' fortified properties, effectively reducing this round's difficulty to that of Round 98.

To encourage challenge diversity using the new extended list of preset rounds in freeplay, we have decided to make a tweak to freeplay income tax to drop it off slightly slower and allow a little more cash to be earned naturally in this range.

  • This is the second round after Round 100 that contains Purples.
  • Round 103 consists more RBE compared by Round 98 with only Fortified ZOMGs (39192*10=391,920). Also the leftover RBE mostly taken up by MOABs (115,988) is higher than Round 95. Even Round 119 has less RBE than this round.
