Round 102 is a round in Bloons TD 6. It is the second 'true' Freeplay round after beating Impoppable and CHIMPS. It is characterized by several ZOMGs and BFBs and hordes of DDTs, alongside some of their Fortified counterparts. This round can be described as the Round 75 Hard Mode, as it features a similar round format, with R75’s BFBs upgraded into ZOMGs, MOABs upgraded into BFBs, and Leads upgraded into DDTs.

Description[]

The Round starts with a lone ZOMG entering. After it has fully exited, a Fortified ZOMG will follow it, alongside a very spaced stream of 18 DDTs. 3 BFBs enter at around the same time as the FZOMG. After these Bloons spawn, 2 very tightly packed (tight enough to be mistaken for one ZOMG) Fortified ZOMGs will spawn, alongside 3 Fortified BFBs and another spaced stream of DDTs, this time 12 Fortified DDTs.

The DDT streams overlap for much of the Round. However, since their spawning intervals differ, the gaps between the DDTs and FDDTs can seem random.

Summary[]

Round 102 is the calm before the storm on Round 103. On this round, be careful about the ZOMGs mixed with DDTs. Consider this a mix of Round 99 and Round 97, and finding effective countermeasures (anti-ZOMG + anti-DDT) for both of these rounds would be key. In a way, this round is tougher than regular Round 97 and 99 combined, because there are more Fortified ZOMGs and Fortified DDTs than their counterpart (3 Fortified ZOMGs instead of 2, 12 Fortified DDTs instead of 9), and MOABs on Round 99 are upgraded to BFBs and DDTs.

However, this round is still not very difficult overall, as all the blimps are very spaced out compared to the rounds before it, with the exception of the second Fortified ZOMG wave, which is the biggest threat in this round.

Tips[]

  • This is a great round for refreshing ability cooldowns that you've used to pop the BAD, as the round is fairly long and dragged out by the DDTs. If paired with stalling methods like Icicle Impale, or, with camo-popping, Super Glue or Bloon Crush, this stalling technique can be more effective. Just be sure to pair them with additional defense to handle insides and help with their otherwise low damage.
  • Blooncineration can defortify BFBs and DDTs on this round, effectively reducing the round's difficulty to that of Round 96 in ABR.

  • This is the first round after Round 100 that lacks any bloons below MOAB spawning from the entrance.
  • It is the first round that contains Fortified ZOMGs and Fortified DDTs at the same time. In ABR, this position goes to Round 97.
