Rosalia is a Hero in Bloons TD 6 who was added in Version 43.0. She is the jetpack hero, who initially spawns from her workshop that resembles a Heli Pilot or Monkey Ace's landing pad, and initially deploys towards nearby track. She can be repositioned to any valid location within her workshop radius location via the "Reposition" targeting option. She has two different attacks, a laser gun and grenades, and can switch between these weapons with her "Switch Weapon" targeting option. Starting from level 5, every 10th shot launches a special enhanced version of her ordinary attacks.

Rosalia's laser gun is a straight-firing laser attack that initially pierces 3 bloons and deals 3 damage. Her enhanced laser is a laser ball, dealing lots of damage and has a lot of pierce, applies laser shock and knocks back bloons and MOAB-Class Bloons, and applies pressing knockback at Level 13+. Regular lasers cannot pop Leads (until Level 13+) or Purples, but her enhanced laser can pop Leads.

Rosalia's grenade launcher shoots grenades. The grenade initially has 8 pierce and deals 2 damage. At Level 5+, grenades can explode multiple times, similarly to a combination of Hydra Rocket Pods and Glaive Ricochet. Her super bomb attack unleashes multiple grenades at once. At Level 13+, her grenades additionally produce secondary clusters like Cluster Bombs.

Rosalia also has a number of support capabilities as she levels up, including the discount of Monkey Aces and Heli Pilots, improved flight speed of Aces and Helis with an active Flight Boost ability, and even discounting The Anti-Bloon by 30% at Level 20.

Rosalia, when her workshop is placed, has a footprint of 3-4. However, when being repositioned, her footprint is 6, meaning when she randomly chooses a spot on the map, it can be impossible to reposition her there. This only applies to pre-level 7, as her Level 7+ footprint is 0 and can be placed anywhere within range. Her workshop has a deceptively small footprint of 7 for placement but a footprint equal to Heli after placement.

She costs $745 on Easy, $875 on Medium Difficulty, $945 on Hard, and $1050 on Impoppable. If Hero Favors is enabled, she will cost $670 on Easy, $790 on Medium, $850 on Hard, and $945 on Impoppable. Rosalia is unlocked with a one-off purchase of 5000.

Upgrades

Rosalia will start upgrading herself every round upon placement. She earns more XP each round to unlock her next upgrade irrespective of how many bloons she pops. Her upgrades can also be immediately bought with cash, though the amount of cash required to purchase the next upgrade will typically increase as the upgrades get higher, making self-upgrading an important element for her overall power.

Rosalia requires 1.425x more experience to upgrade towards each level compared to the base heroes, Quincy, Gwendolin, Striker Jones, and Obyn Greenfoot. Pat Fusty, Ezili, Admiral Brickell, Sauda, and Corvus all level up at the same speed as Rosalia.

Description: Rosalia jets around her workshop equipped with a powerful laser. Effect: Upon placement of Rosalia's Workshop, Rosalia the "placeable unit" (like a Beast Handler's Microraptor) is placed on a random valid land location that favours towards the range of nearby track. Rosalia wields a lasergun on her right hand, firing a laser every 1 second that deals 3 damage, has 40 range, and has 3 pierce, but can't damage Lead and Purple bloons. She can also reposition herself to any valid location (land, also includes her workshop) within her 60 range workshop, at a cooldown of 2 seconds. She will not attack while traveling. Flight speed of 1.5 units/second.

Level 2 COST: $257 UNLOCK: 257 XP

Description: Grenade attack unlocked! Switch between weapons to deal with all sorts of bloons. Effect: With her left hand, wields a grenade launcher that shoots grenades at the same fire rate as laser gun, have 15 blast radius, 8 pierce, deal 2 damage, and bonus 1 damage to Ceramics, but can't pop Black Bloon properties. Rosalia gains the Switch Weapon targeting priority to swap between weapons, at a cooldown of 2 seconds.

Description: Scatter missile ability: Rosalia's workshop launches a missile that rains destruction from above. Effect: Gains the Scatter Missile ability. While active, Rosalia's workshop locks on a target for 0.4s, then launches 20 missiles every 0.25s within 40 radius of the target. Each missile deals 5 damage, has 50 pierce, and stuns the regular bloons for 1 second on damage, but cannot affect black bloon properties. The missiles follow the target until the target popped. The ability cooldown is 45 seconds.

	Description: Adrenaline Rush. Rosalia attacks faster the more Bloons are nearby! Effect: Attacks 1% faster for every 2 bloons within range of herself (NOT the workshop's range, only the range of Rosalia the "placeable unit"). Maximum increase up to 20%.

Description: Rosalia's attacks are improved, grenades can bounce multiple times and weapons fire an enhanced shot every 10th attack. Effect: Rosalia: Every 10th shot from Rosalia produces an enhanced attack from her current weapon. Both of Rosalia's weapons have a lightning visual to signify the enhanced attack. Also more improvements for her basic lasers and grenades. Laser Gun: Laser damage increased from 3 to 5 and pierce increased from 3 to 6. Every 10 shots, laser attack becomes an enhanced lead popping plasma bolt. Plasma Bolt: It deals 25 damage with 12 pierce, and applies a Laser Shock effect, dealing 3 damage per shock up to 9 seconds. It also deals 25 extra damage to shocked bloons. In addition, it can knock back both regular and MOAB-Class Bloons significantly. Grenades: Grenades can now bounce up to 3 times. Every 10 shots shoots 3 grenades instead of 1.

	Description: Aircraft Efficiency. Monkey Aces and Heli Pilots placed near the workshop have all upgrade costs reducted. Effect: Monkey Aces and Heli Pilots within range of Rosalia's workshop have their upgrade costs and base costs decreased by 10%. Does not affect Paragon upgrades.

Description: Upgraded Jetpack! Rosalia hovers above the Battlefield. Flight Boost ability: for a short while, all nearby aircraft fly faster & Rosalia pursues Bloons over the whole map, using both weapons! Effect: Rosalia: Rosalia can be placed anywhere within the workshop's range instead of just valid land, no longer consumes footprint, and faster repositioning. Also gains the Flight Boost ability. Flight Boost ability increases all nearby Monkey Ace and Heli Pilot flying speed by 30%, and additionally Rosalia rapidly flies around and attacks with both her laser gun and cluster grenades simultaneously for 20 seconds. The Flight Boost ability has a cooldown of 45 seconds.

Description: Kinetic Charge Ability: Charge attaches to a Bloon, harnessing energy when the target takes damage. Then releases accumulated energy in a huge detonation. Effect: Gains the Kinetic Charge ability. When activated, it releases a kinetic charge that attaches to a MOAB-Class Bloon, exploding after 10 seconds. The explosion deals 1500 base damage to up to 500 bloons within 50 radius. If its target is damaged, the explosion will deal extra damage, which is the same as the target takes up to 4500 (i.e. 6000 max damage). The bomb instantly explodes when its target takes 6000 damage. If there are no MOAB-Class bloons on the track, Kinetic Charge will stay at Rosalia's workshop, lasting up to 1 round and infinite (?) time lifespan. Multiple Kinetic Charges can be stacked at once. The ability has a cooldown of 75 seconds.

Description: Rosalia's attacks are improved with Bouncy Grenades now also creating cluster explosions, Lasers upgrading to Plasma and stronger enhanced 10th attacks. Effect: Laser Gun: Laser pierce increased from 6 to 10, MOAB-class damage bonus increased from 5 to 10 and can naturally pop lead bloons. Plasma bolts: No longer deal damage itself but knocks back bloons in a similar way to MOAB Press, including Leads, Ceramics, Purple Bloons, and some pushable MOAB-Class Bloons (MOABs, BFBs and DDTs). When the plasma bolt expires, creates a plasma explosion which has 70 damage, 40 pierce and 20 blast radius, applying Laser Shock and knockback effect, which is the same as before. The explosion also deals 70 extra damage to shocked bloons. Grenades: Damage increased from 3 to 4. Each explosion now also creates 3 cluster explosions. Each cluster explosion has 2 damage and 8 pierce.

	Description: Scatter Missile deals more damage, especially to MOABs! Effect: Scatter Missile ability now deals 10 damage per missile instead of 5, along with an extra 5 damage to MOAB-Class Bloons.

	Description: Laser attack deals much more damage to MOAB-Class Bloons, and Grenades deal more damage to Ceramic Bloons. Grenades deal 6 additional damage to Ceramics and every 10th shot fires 5 grenades instead of 3. Cluster explosions also deals 4 extra damage to Ceramics.

Description: Guardian Automaton: The Anti-Bloon's upgrade cost is reduced by 30%. Scatter Missile now fires triple the missiles, and Kinetic Charge damage is greatly increased. Effect: Anti-Bloon upgrade has its cost decreased by 30% when within the range of Rosalia's workshop. Scatter Missile now unleashes 90 missiles instead of 30 with triple firing speed. Kinetic Charge ability base damage increased from 1500 to 4000, max extra damage is now 12,000 and instant explosion damage threshold is 16,000.

Activated Abilities

Rosalia has three activated abilities: Scatter Missile (Level 3+), Flight Boost (Level 7+), and Kinetic Charge (Level 10+).

Scatter Missile

Scatter Missile Ability

While this ability is activated, Rosalia's workshop launches 20 missiles that deal 5 damage each and stun regular bloons for 1 second, targeting bloons based on Rosalia's target priority. Rosalia's workshop will lock onto the target for 0.4s while distributing missiles. Missiles are shot every 0.25s (0.08333s at Level 20), lock onto a target based on targeting priority relative to Rosalia's workshop, and the missiles are erratically distributed. However, the missiles cannot pop Black Bloon properties.

At Level 9-19, 30 missiles are released instead of 20, further increased to 90 missiles at Level 20 and are shot 3x faster. Total duration of the ability is 5s at Level 1-8, increased to 7.5s at Level 9+. Level 14 improves damage from 5 to 10 and inflicts bonus +5 MOAB-class damage.

The ability cooldown is 45 seconds, 30 seconds if Level 16+.

Flight Boost

Flight Boost Ability

Flight Boost increases all nearby Monkey Ace and Heli Pilot flying speed by 30% for 20 seconds, and allows Rosalia to target bloons all across the screen, similar to Pursuit, plus a much greater flight speed for herself, and to use both her lasers and grenades at the same time. After finishing Flight Boost, Rosalia will fly back towards her original location.

If the player pre-emptively sets a new landing location, Rosalia will briefly fly back to her landing spot before going back to pursuing bloons.

Note that her currently active weapon still matters during Flight Boost, because her special attacks on every 10th shot only activate whichever weapon currently is set.

The Flight Boost ability has a cooldown of 45 seconds, 25 seconds at Level 18+.

Kinetic Charge

Kinetic Charge Ability

Kinetic Charge is a robotic charge that attaches to a targeted MOAB-Class Bloon and harnessing energy when the target takes damage. Then it releases accumulated energy in a huge damage. It is similar to the Sticky Bomb, except the more damage taken the greater the damage of the timed munition. Kinetic Charge can be stacked as much as possible, but only lasts up to 1 round. The Kinetic Charge itself has a deployment time of 1s before it can start jumping onto a MOAB-class bloon to stick upon. Kinetic Charge can still stick onto bloons, even if all MOAB-class children of the original target are already popped, but the Kinetic Charge itself will only jump onto MOAB-class bloons.

Once exploded, the Kinetic Charge produces an explosion that pops any visible bloon type except Black properties, with a blast radius of 50 and 100 pierce, plus damage equal to the base amount plus any damage taken prior to detonation.

Level 10-19 Kinetic Charge's base damage is 1500 and cannot penetrate MOAB-class layers, but if the target gets damaged, the explosion deals extra damage based on the amount of damage dealt to that target, up to a bonus 3000 damage, totalling 4500 damage, with an immediate detonation if the target takes 6000 damage. At Level 20, the Kinetic Charge's base damage is increased to 4000 and max bonus damage to 12,000, totalling 16,000 damage, and the immediate detonation threshold increasing to 16,000.

The Kinetic Charge ability has a cooldown of 75 seconds, 60 seconds at Level 16+.

Strategy

Summary

Rosalia has a mix of separate strengths that together support the defense. On top of the capability to switch weapons to suit single-target and grouped damage, she has a wide deployment range but a short base attacking range. She has the maneuverability onto specific locations, allowing her to reposition to new spots but at the cost of time delay if moving her manually. As such, she is best suited on maps with only one active lane, and relatively stronger than most other heroes on maps with alternating lanes (e.g. Chutes, Bazaar, Muddy Puddles, but not Workshop or Bloody Puddles). Additionally, her basic supports are an additional bonus if focusing on strategies centered on Monkey Aces or Heli Pilots.

Try to take advantage of her basic weapons for different use cases. Use the lasergun for single-target damage, straightline action, and knocking back of bloons. On the other hand, the grenades are best suited for widespread cleanup and area damage across curves. Generally speaking, however, Rosalia has problems with low pierce, low direct range, or bloon resistances. However, Rosalia has multiple abilities that counteract many of her main weaknesses, at the expense of long ability cooldowns.

Tips

• Rosalia can be buffed in the same way as a Heli Pilot or Monkey Ace. This also allows her to be affected by Alchemist buffs and Overclock.
• If affected by external range buffs, Rosalia can be repositioned further from her workshop. If the range buffs are removed, she won’t auto-move to a new location.
• Unlike Beast Handler's aquatic and dino beasts, Rosalia's repositioning requires a deployment cooldown to move herself towards the new location, rather than instantaneously to the new location.
• Rosalia has a complete lack of camo detection, forcing her to rely on external buffs.
• With Level 18 and the Energizer placed down, you can achieve full uptime on Rosalia's Flight Boost ability. You can use a Tech Bot to ensure the ability is always active in this case.
• Rosalia doesn't change her own position if terrain moves, such as on the maps Geared and Sanctuary, provided her workshop is not forcefully sold.
• The 10% discount to Aces and Helis is significant enough to allow strategies centered around them. However, she usually sees most benefit with Aces, which don't fall off on simultaneous multi-lane maps, and have many anti-DDT options that Rosalia would normally struggle.
  • For Aces, some of the best options for the discount include: Ground Zero, Sky Shredder, Spectre, Flying Fortress (especially for Flying Fortress CHIMPS challenges).
  • For Helis, some of the best options for the discount include: Apache Dartship, Apache Prime, Comanche Commander, Comanche Defense, Special Poperations, Support Chinook.
• The 30% discount to The Anti-Bloon is generally meaningless outside of either Least Cash or specific CHIMPS challenges involving The Anti-Bloon.
• Rosalia can be used to afford Apache Dartship on Deflation, but requires a few tricks attached. Simply buy her in a Monkey Commerce, buy a 3-2-0 Razor Rotors under that Village, wait for Rosalia Level 6, sell the Village, and buy the Apache Dartship upgrade.
• Rosalia's workshop placement has a small footprint, so can fit at the lower regions of the top landing tread in Midnight Mansion, unlike other towers with large footprint such as Spike Factory or Super Monkey.

• Rosalia is the 16th Hero to be added in Bloons TD 6.
  • She also is the sixth female hero to appear in the game, with the those being Gwendolin, Ezili, Adora, Admiral Brickell and Sauda.
• Rosalia is one of the most expensive heroes added in an update, costing 5000 to unlock, but yet cheaper than the two previously released heroes, Geraldo and Corvus.
• Rosalia's laser firing sounds are similar to the first three sound effects of Pew pew Pop FX.
• Rosalia was originally created during the early phases of BTD6, as a way to beat Muddy Puddles on CHIMPS. Rohan Spibo has confirmed this on r/btd6 in the Version 43.0 preview notes.
• According to Rohan Spibo from r/btd6, Rosalia is a short adult.
• Rohan Spibo from r/btd6 confirmed that Rosalia will be a 5000 unlock hero, which he said on the Version 43.0 preview notes.

• Some of Rosalia's voicelines use words and expressions from Brazilian Portuguese, such as "Bora !" (meaning "let's go !"), "Ah... Demorou" (which although it can mean "you're late", in this case it's an slang for excitement) and "Surpresa!" (which means "Surprise!").
• Rosalia is also a relatively common name in Southern European countries such as Italy, Spain and Portugal, but also in Latin America where many people descend from the Italians, the Spanish or the Portuguese.
