~ Round 5 in Bloons TD 4 |

The RBE display before Round 1
The Red Bloon Equivalent (RBE) of a Bloon or Round is total damage required to completely pop that Bloon or group of Bloons (for instance 4 green bloons require 12 damage to completely pop all of them, equalling RBE 12 (3 RBE each)). Though the concept can be applied to all BTD games, RBE was formally named in Bloons TD 4. So, for example, in the picture to the right fourteen pops are required to pass that particular Round. It also appears in Bloons TD 4 Expansion and Bloons TD 5. The lowest RBE of a round in BTD4 is 11, the highest is 2881116 on Flash (Round 250 - no rounds were programmed after this). The final round of BTD4 has 999 B.F.B.s, and it is nearly impossible to survive, even if your entire screen is filled with Sun Gods, meaning Operation: Dart Storms are a must.
In BTD5, all Freeplay rounds have a random RBE past round 85; the highest non-freeplay round has 62440 (Round 84, though Impoppable Round 85 has 83,280) while the lowest has 3 (Round 24).

RBE in Bloons Tower Defense 5.
In BTD6, RBE is not directly mentioned as a statistic, but there are some towers that involve RBE, such as Avatar of Wrath's damage scaling, and the triggering of the instakill grapple from Great White and above (notably Megalodon versus BADs). However, there is one mention of RBE in-game in BTD6: the description of the Big Traps Support Monkey Knowledge reads "Bloon Trap can hold up to 530 RBE.".
