Rangs are one of the seven (five on Flash) weapon types in Bloons Super Monkey 2 Mobile, dealing ShatterShatter Type (pops Black, White, Purple, Frozen) damage. Rangs are generally characterized by sacrificing power in exchange for consistency. Lategame Weapons and epics such as Radar Glaives and Crouching Monkey lack much in good direct damage per second, but compensate with their consistency in tracking and projectile size. Compared with a weapon type with a similar damage type, Darts, Rangs weapons often deal more overall damage per projectile have the homing consistency no other weapon type innately has and can Frozen bloons, making them stronger against Shielded Bloons and weak fast moving bloons, but lacks the sheer quantity of projectiles and better pierce for crowds of bloons held by Dart upgrades. While Rangs weapons normally lack good damage output against single targets, because of the way homing projectiles are coded in Bloons Supermonkey 2 Mobile, they can actually be a strong MOAB damage option as homing projectiles can damage the same target multiple times.

In addition, Ninja's projectiles are also considered to be part of the Rangs class, and benefits from its equivalent research in both Flash and Mobile.
