Radioactive is a status effect characterized as an attack dealing continuous damage as long as they are within the range of that tower. It was introduced in Bloons TD 5 with the introduction of the Monkey Sub and its upgrade, Bloontonium Reactor. It is part of the damage types family.
Radioactive is represented on the Bloons Wiki as
, the upgrade icon for Bloontonium Reactor for Bloons TD 6, which depicts the famous radioactive symbol with green light emitting from the glass on top of gray metal plating.
Radioactive can be produced from an Area of Effect
, as the Radioactive status effect often derives from such attack style. Radiation is not a true damage-over-time because bloons must be within range to get radiated. The game mechanics in BTD6 for the Radioactive
status effect is to determine which Reactors affect which bloons based on close proximities, which means that Reactor damage cannot stack and is prioritized by the closest Reactors.
Bloons affected with Radioactive will show to emitting a green, radioactive aura.
In Bloons Adventure Time TD, Supermonkey's Disarming Charisma upgrade is functionally equivalent to Radioactive, as it continuously damages bloons that are within Supermonkey's range.
All attacks require an upgrade in order to have Radioactive.
