Primary Training affecting an Alch-buffed Overdrive

Primary Training is the 3rd upgrade on Path 1 of the Monkey Village in Bloons TD Battles 2. It adds an exclusive buff to Primary Monkeys, giving them +15% pierce with a minimum of +1 pierce, further +10% range, and +25% projectile speed.

It costs $800, and is unlocked after purchasing Monkey Village.

Strategy

Summary

Primary Training's buff makes it strong in conjunction with Primary Monkeys, but most especially Tack Shooters due to their low pierce and range. In practice, a Primary Training is mostly to enhance Tack Shooter strategies.

Tips

• Primary Training crosspathing depends on needs of the defense, although Radar Scanner is often the best choice due to the fact that most Primary Monkeys have a camo weakness.

Trivia

• Until Version 1.0.2, which changed all Tier 2 upgrades to be unlocked for all towers by default, Primary Training was the Village upgrade with the second-lowest XP requirements, second to Radar Scanner.
