Precious Space is a map that was included in the 2.2 update in Bloons TD Battles 2, alongside the Hero Star Captain Jericho. It was the winner of the Star Captain Map Competition in r/battles2, the winning map created by u/SuperPsou.

It is available in White Wasteland and above, as well as Casual Mode, Event Theatre, and Clans.

Overview

Precious Space is set in outer space, with a giant unplaceable spaceship aiming at various asteroids with each flag of unique colors and emblems. Bloons have two entrances, one for the natural bloons and one for the sent bloons, and they both exit down at the bottom accordingly to the path of the meteor belt. Players will eventually unlock new guns on the spaceship to seize the opportunity to permanently destroy an entire asteroid for extra money.

There are five asteroids, which contain all the possible land and water that any player can place any defense on:

• Yellow flag with torus-and-circle emblem: Top small asteroid. Quite enough size for a single Farm, or three Dartlings, or enough to fit a small cluster of towers. Option to destroy unlocks Round 5. $450 when destroyed.
• Red flag with hammer emblem: Bottom small asteroid. Also quite enough size for a single Farm, or three Dartlings, or enough to fit a small cluster of towers. Option to destroy unlocks Round 5. $600 when destroyed.
• Blue flag with square-and-slash emblem: Lower sausage-shaped asteroid with lake. Lake can accommodate up to one Buccaneer or two Subs. Option to destroy unlocks Round 10. $2000 when destroyed.
• Green flag with line emblem: Potato-shaped asteroid with lake. Lake can accommodate up to two Buccaneers or three Subs. Option to destroy unlocks Round 15. $4,000 when destroyed.
• Purple flag with triangle emblem: Big widespread asteroid in the lateral sides of the screen. Large enough to fit up to three (?) Farms. Option to destroy unlocks Round 20. $8,000 when destroyed.

Rewards for destroying asteroids are constant throughout the game, although Bananza doubles these financial rewards. Destroying an asteroid permanently loses placeable terrain for the whole current game, and force-sells any tower placed on the now-destroyed asteroid. It is possible to destroy all asteroids.

Summary

A relatively long map with a lot of flexibility in choosing the appropriate land to value and destroy. Destroy unwanted land once available, embrace your defenses upon the land you want to keep, and use the excess money earned from destroying the land to make more money. Note that destroying the asteroids may not be the wisest choice if on a game mode with excessive income gains, such as Bananza or Play With Fire.

Tips

• If using a Farm strategy, destroy the top and bottom asteroids on Round 5 and place all the Farms on the wide asteroid at the lateral side. This helps maximize money while utilizing sufficient space to maximize Farms.
• Druid-Farm-Sub with Obyn is a good choice on this map. Use the potato-shaped asteroid to place the majority of defenses.
