Plasma Vision is the third tier upgrade for the Tech Core upgrade path in BSM2. It costs 1500. It converts the previous Laser Vision into orbs of plasma, which fire at a (comparatively) much slower rate, but deal much more damage.

Plasma Vision also deals a lot more damage to MOABs, shields, etc. Although it fires at a slower rate, every blast from the Laser Vision has very little popping power.
