Pew pew Pop FX is a Bloon Pop FX Trophy Store item. It was added on the Version 25.0 update, and is available to purchase on select days before, on, or after May 4th every year since 2021. It costs 30 to unlock.

When enabled, every Bloon when popped will produce a neon shade green/blue/red "PEW" alongside the regular pop animation, along with an SFX imitating laser gun firing sounds.

The availability of Pew pew SFX varies between years, given its "extremely limited time" status. The following were collected availability times for Pew Pew SFX:

Strategy

Summary

Like most Trophy Store items, there is no specific in-game advantage to enabling the Pew Pew Pop SFX. However, a player who may dislike the harsh sounds of the default Bloon popping may benefit from hearing cartoonish sounds of laser shooting instead. Instead of audio that produces many sounds of sudden volume changes, the sounds produced are varied and often cheerful. Pop effects are also altered by the addition of the "PEW" words in different colors; this cosmetic change isn't so much of an eyesore or complication to in-game calculations when compared to other pop SFX, yet still requires extra animations compared to the default pop visuals.

Additionally, as a limited-time item, purchasing Pew Pew Pop FX will count towards the Limited Run achievement. Follow online communities for Bloons TD 6 at the start of May in order to get properly prepared for the precise duration of Pew Pew Pop FX for the year, and try to keep at least 30 on hand. Winning a Hard Odyssey on Odyssey Mode for the first time during an active week guarantees enough trophies to afford Pew Pew Pop FX.

Tips

• Some default pop SFX are unaffected by this item. One example is the Druid of the Jungle instakill vines that pop the remaining Bloons.

• Part of the description for "Pew Pew Pop FX" is a reference to Darth Vader telling Luke Skywalker about acknowledging their father-son correlation: "Search your feelings. You know it to be true."
• Ninja Kiwi released the item late in May 5th 2023 due to having forgotten about re-releasing the item manually. Due to public backlash of the item not appearing for May 4th 2023 and only giving out the item for a few hours in any timezone of May 4th, Ninja Kiwi in 2023 re-released the item for an entire week starting from May 5th 2023.
