Paragons attack faster if there are no Tier 5 of the same tower.
~ In-game description

Paragon of Power is a Support Monkey Knowledge point in Bloons TD 6, first introduced on Version 39.0. It increases attack speed of Paragons if there are no Tier 5's of the same tower type on screen. If conditions are met, the affected Paragon attacks +20% faster (0.8333x attack cooldown), which stacks multiplicatively with Veteran Monkey Training. When these two Monkey Knowledge are enabled, they make the affected Paragon attack slightly under +24% faster (+23.711% faster to be exact, 0.80834x attack cooldown) in conclusion. It requires 14 support knowledge points invested, Veteran Monkey Training, and a one-off purchase of 1000 to unlock.

Strategy[]

Summary[]

Gives a big attack speed bonus for Paragons, which is vital for maximizing damage to Boss Bloons in Boss Bloon Events or late game when using Paragons. Any Paragon, including the relatively cheap Apex Plasma Master and the very expensive DPS-oriented Paragons such as Goliath Doomship will greatly benefit from this MK. Take note that adding any T5 of the same tower type will remove the attack speed benefit of this MK.

Tips[]

  • Add it for any Paragon, and it will receive a mighty speed boost. Most Paragons released before Version 39.0 have their nerfed DPS values offset by the Paragon of Power MK.
  • In general, it is worth losing out on the other Tier 5 towers in favor of giving Paragons the attack speed bonus, especially against Boss Bloons, which take extra damage from Paragons. However, some Paragons have Tier 5 upgrades that are important enough to forego taking advantage of this Monkey Knowledge (for deep freeplay usage):
    • Trading off Master Builder's Paragon of Power benefit is necessary in the late game, as Ultraboost is paramount for maximizing attack speed and cash gains (for Farms). Sentry Champion is also one of the strongest Tier 5 towers, second only to the VTSG in terms of benefiting from external buffs. Paragon of Power also has no effect on the Sentry Deploy ability or Sentry Explosion damage.
    • Flying Fortress when buffed offers enough DPS by itself that it is worth losing the extra attack speed for the Goliath Doomship.
    • Trading off Nautic Siege Core's Paragon of Power benefit for a massive multiplicative damage bonus to Subs may be worth the exchange if focusing on Sub spam. The Paragon of Power's speed bonus for that Paragon would be lost, but the added T5's would gain a considerable effect from the multiplicative damage, at the loss of some of the Paragon's attack speed when unsubmerged. In any case, Nautic Siege Core is typically submerged for late-game freeplay runs due to its ability cooldown buff for other Paragons.
  • Sometimes, it may be helpful to go against the Paragon of Power to avoid losing too many pops from other Paragons.
  • Note that some Paragons may have an attack speed cap on some attacks.
    • Master Builder's nailgun attack has an attack cooldown capped at a minimum of 0.05s, so the only thing Paragon of Power will do to that attack is take less rounds to meet its minimum attack cooldown.
    • A notable example is keeping the Nautic Siege Core purely for the submerge benefits while keeping it submerged to minimize stolen pops for other towers. However, since the Nautic's submerge attack is not affected by speed bonuses at all, Paragon of Power has no effect on it either.

Trivia[]

  • Paragon of Power is the second Support MK to require 1000, after Bank Deposits.
  • The icon of the Knowledge is based from the Tier 5 Monkey Awaken or the Paragon Monkey Awaken.
  • It is only the Monkey Knowledge that exclusively affects every Paragon.
