0-0-1 Oversize Nails
Oversize Nails is the 1st upgrade of Path 3 for the Engineer Monkey in Bloons TD Battles 2. It corresponds to the 9-Inch Nails upgrade from the BTD5 generation. It increases the pierce of the main Engineer's nailgun nails from 3 to 8, and allows them to pop Frozen Bloons. Unlike BTD5, this upgrade now also affects Sentry Guns, which now gives the Engineer's sentries +1 pierce and the Shatter damage type (which pops frozen). It also increases Cleansing Foam pierce by +10.
It costs $450, and is unlocked with the purchase of Engineer Monkey.

Oversize Nails provides a noticeable amount of extra pierce for the Engineer, making it a suitable early-game option for its main nailgun attack and any sentries in conjunction.
Tips[]
- This is great with Sentry Gun. You could try 0-0-1 first then 1-0-1, or 1-0-0 first then 1-0-1. The choice varies depending on whether the nail shots are required first before the gradual Sentry generation.
