BTD6 Spike Factory targeting on "Normal"

Normal is a Targeting Priority that causes the tower to randomly place projectiles on the track. This Targeting Priority was introduced in Bloons TD 4 as the sole targeting style for the Spike Factory. In the BTD5 Generation, the Engineer Monkey's Path 2 upgrades like Cleansing Foam and Bloon Trap also carried this priority. In Bloons TD 6, additional targeting options such as Smart, Far, and Close were added for the Spike Factory with Smart Spikes, but Normal still remains the default. Bloon Trap's targeting priority was changed to Close in Bloons TD 6, while Cleansing Foam kept its Normal targeting until Version 29.0.

Bloons TD 6 introduced additional upgrades with Normal targeting. Caltrops thrown by the Ninja Monkey always use Normal targeting. Gwendolin's Cocktail of Fire in addition to Obyn Greenfoot's totems, brambles, and Wall of Trees will default to Normal targeting if there are no bloons in the hero's range. However, if there are bloons in the hero's range, they will be placed according to the main hero's targeting. On the other hand, Wall of Fire used to default to Normal targeting until version 25.0, which defaulted it to Close.

Of course, the "Random" nature of projectile distribution is actually based on a difficult to predict yet algorithmic process. Such is definitely the case in Bloons TD 6, but other games in the Bloons TD series may completely utilize a random number generator.
