  • 2-x-x can assure a safe start in first rounds. Both crosspaths for it have their own benefits:
    • Distraction works better against stronger bloons by stalling them.
    • Seeking Shuriken maximizes every shuriken's efficiency.
  • Avoid placing Ninja Monkeys with Distraction closer to entrance than other towers as they may cause Regrow Farm.
  • If you're using Ninja Monkey as a main tower, try getting 1-0-3 Ninja as soon as possible to deal with (Camo) Leads and denser waves of other bloons by stunning them. Avoid placing it closer to entrance as it also can accidentally stall Regrow bloons and cause Regrow Farm.
  • Fortified Lead Bloon can cause trouble to Ninja Monkeys in mid-game, as they can tank up to 6 flash bombs. Use towers that can deal with them (such as Sniper Monkey or Wizard Monkey) or towers that can grant lead-popping power to Ninjas (Alchemist, Gwendolin, Monkey Village).
  • Keep in mind that unlike in BTD6, Counter-Espionage can decamo Lead Bloons.
