Bloons Wiki

Ninja Kiwi Blog is a series of blogs created and published by Ninja Kiwi. They explain to the community about important posts. Most blogs are posted on a weekly basis, excluding special holiday periods such as Christmas breaks. Weekly blogs often feature weekly events in each supported game, one featured fanart or official artwork, and a section consisting of Q&As from the community.

The Ninja Kiwi Blog was launched on the Ninja Kiwi website on March 2, 2009 (link to first post). It has been the focal point of game announcements, reviews, updates, etc. ever since launch. Bloons (iPhone/iPod Touch) was the first Bloons game announced on the blog, with Bloons TD 4 being the first Bloons TD game announced.

On May 30, 2021, the blog was briefly attacked with spam from an individual who posed as several different accounts pleading for an update to SAS 4 Mobile, another Ninja Kiwi game. The comments were purged the following day.

2022[]

In 2022, blogs have continued on every Friday starting from 14th January 2022. The Ninja Kiwi Blog was attacked with spam again, first appearing in the 1st April blog pertaining to wanting updates to Bloons Monkey City Mobile and again starting on 14th April's with the same thing. The spam continued for several weeks going forward, and at times made the main Ninja Kiwi website inaccessible, as there were no blogs for 20th May or 27th May, possibly related to technical issues regarding a hack on Ninja Kiwi servers. To compensate, they had planned to release their 3rd June blog as a "Mega blog" (with submitted questions directed here). Eventually, the post spam contained Bloons TD Battles 2 related comments as well. In the 8th July blog, the spam came back yet again, this time with it all being related to Bloons TD Battles 2, making it the last blog post visible on the Ninja Kiwi website. On 9th September, Ninja Kiwi disabled logins to prevent further spam from happening. Unlike the 2021 incident, none of the comments were ever purged, however, most of the blog is now inaccessible likely due to abandonment of the site.

We would just like to announce that going forward we will be posting and picking questions for the blog exclusively on the Ninja Kiwi Reddit.

Our team has also made the difficult decision to remove logins from the Ninja Kiwi website as many of the features that use those logins on the site are no longer available, with the end of Flash. However, the accounts will still be useable for the Ninja Kiwi Archive and all game data will be preserved. This will mean things like Awesome Points, Achievements and Clans will also be closing down. Thank you again to everyone who loved and appreciated the website community, clan challenges and awesome ranks, stay More Awesomer!

2023[]

Hi folks! We are holding off on the weekly @Blog for the time being while the team gets all caught up and prepared for the coming year! We know you have been missing it and we will get back to these as soon as possible! 🙂
~ Ninja Kiwi Discord, 01/19/2023 12:03 PM NZDT

In 2023, blogs have been delayed until 10th February 2023. Ninja Kiwi posted their official announcement of blog delays on their official Ninja Kiwi Discord, stating their desire to delay their first blog of the year in order for its employees to settle well for 2023.

Trivia[]

  • According to Ninja Kiwi's 29th April 2022 blog, the communications teams in Ninja Kiwi are responsible for choosing the featured art for weekly blogs. They choose art that must "catch [their eyes] and be cool art".
  • Ninja Kiwi's "What's Up At Ninja Kiwi?" Q&A questions are usually searched near the start of the week, according to Ninja Kiwi's 29th April 2022 blog.
  • According to Ninja Kiwi's 5th August 2022 blog, Ninja Kiwi stated that they would leave the blogs as they are "for viewing" but didn't specify whether they would archive the now discontinued official blog website.
