Increases attack speed.
~ In-game description

Ninja Discipline is the 1st upgrade on Path 1 for the Ninja Monkey in Bloons TD 6. Ninja Monkeys with this upgrade attack +61.29% faster (with the shuriken attack increasing from 0.7s to every 0.434s). All secondary attacks from the Ninja (i.e. Caltrops, Flash Bomb, and Sticky Bomb) share the same attack speed increase.

Unlike in BTD5, Ninja Discipline does not grant extra range, rather the Seeking Shuriken upgrade does this.

This upgrade costs $255 on Easy, $300 on Medium, $325 on Hard, and $360 on Impoppable.

Description[]

Overview[]

The Ninja Monkey gains a white headband. For crosspaths, the white headband is consistent throughout all upgrades up to Tier 4. The upgrade icon is a shuriken which appears to be fast moving.

This upgrade increases Ninja Monkey attack speed of all its attacks.

Targeting Priorities[]

Ninja Discipline targets bloons using the standard targeting priorities. It shoots straight movement projectiles.

  • First: Targets the first bloon visible within its range.
  • Last: Targets the last bloon visible within its range.
  • Close: Targets the closest bloon visible within its range.
  • Strong: Targets the strongest bloon visible within its range.

All Ninja Monkeys can access Camo Prioritization. While Camo Prioritization is active, it allows all its attacks to prioritize Camo Bloons over other types.

Strategy[]

Summary[]

Extra attack speed is always useful for the Ninja Monkey, with extra value in both the early-game and the late-game. Because of this upgrade's benefits, Ninja Discipline is a superior DPS crosspath for Ninja Monkey upgrades.

Tips[]

  • Ninja Discipline is an extremely cost-efficient early game tower.
    • Seeking Shuriken will allow it to use its popping power fully.
    • They are usually used to lead into higher tier top path Ninjas.
  • Ninja Discipline will also increase the rate of Distraction and Counter-Espionage applying, and will also increase the attack speed of Flash Bomb and Sticky Bomb effects, so it is recommended to crosspath this path for those towers.

Version History[]

Balance Changes[]

Compared to BTD5, Ninja Discipline improves the attack speed of the ninja by much more (66% compared to 20%). It can no longer have both Distraction and Seeking Shuriken at the same time, as those upgrades are mutually exclusive as crosspaths for this upgrade.

Ninja Discipline itself was nerfed in 38.0 to encourage alternate crosspathing for Upper Path 2 and Upper Path 3, without much of a nerf to Upper Path 3 or early-game Ninja. The range bonus was shifted to Seeking Shuriken, since Ninja Kiwi decided that Ninja Discipline's dual speed-and-range benefits were too much of a benefit to all Ninjas.

Trivia[]

  • [Pre 38.0] The description for Ninja Discipline is exactly the same as it is in BTD5, but the upgrade icon features a faster-moving dark grey shuriken instead of an illegible ninja scroll.
