Neo Highway is a map that was included in the 4.5 update in Bloons TD Battles 2, alongside major reworks to Benjamin and DJ Benjammin'. It was the winner of the Map Design Competition in r/battles2, the winning map created by u/G00dbot.

It is available in Lead Dungeon and above, as well as Casual Mode, Event Theatre, and Clans.

Overview

Neo Highway is set on a highway, featuring various vehicles that can sparsely fit towers. On the side of the map there is a large truck that can fit land on its roof and water on its container.

Bloons use two paths that are very close to each other and go faster when traveling diagonally, and move at normal speed elsewhere. Natural bloons' path is slightly longer starting at the corner of the map.

A motorcyclist monkey can be removed for $350, which has the monkey move away in place of a gray car that grants more land.

Trivia

• Neo Highway is the second community-made Battles 2 map to be released, first being Precious Space.
• Upon Neo Highway winning the Map Design Competition, Ninja Kiwi declared a few adjustments to suit Battles 2 environment:
  • Water spots are improved. Instead of a lake, the truck on the right-hand side serves as water.
  • Adjusted the "extra land" obstacle removal functionality.
• MOAB-Class Bloons have unique movement on this map. Instead of rotating their bodies completely when changing directions, MOABs always face upward and only rotate slightly as if they are passing the vehicles on the highway.
• There are three different animations that can play when the motorcyclist monkey moves away.
  • The first animation has the monkey do a wheelie and then ride off to the corner out the map.
  • The second animation has the monkey look back and reverse out the map.
  • The third animation has the monkey slide their bike sideways and drive off to the side out the map.
    • This animation is a reference to a scene from the 1988 Japanese animated movie Akira, where protagonist Shotaro Kaneda slides his bike sideways to a stop.
• There is a lot of Monklish on the map.
  • The plate of the white pickup truck reads "ADORA."
  • The plate of the purple pickup truck reads "EZILI."
  • The plate of the gray car reads "GWEN."
  • The plate of the pool truck reads "BONNIE."
    • The text on the sides of the pool truck reads "POOL MOBILE."
