Music is background music that is added to various video games. Music has been added to many games, starting from the Flash version of Bloons TD 4 and the mobile versions of Bloons.
Since Bloons TD Mobile, Ninja Kiwi has added music to their Bloons Tower Defense games. This can be muted as well as the sound effects in the game. Every song in Bloons TD 5 and the song "Party Time" from Bloons TD 6 share a common bass motif established in the theme from Bloons TD 4. The music in BTD5, Bloons Monkey City, Bloons Super Monkey 2, Bloons Supermonkey 2 Mobile, BTD6, Bloons Adventure Time TD, Bloons Pop!, and Bloons TD Battles 2 were composed by Tim Haywood. The themes from the original Bloons TD Battles including mobile versions come from royalty-free music. All mobile games also have their own music too.
History[]

The "instrumental" plays while in the loadout menu and after a battle (as of Version 1.0.4), while the "melodic" plays once the game begins.
The zither (the "BTD6 instrument") returns as a recurring instrument played throughout OSTs in Battles 2.

Trivia[]
Bloons TD 4[]
- The theme used in Bloons TD 4 is a royalty-free track called "Volcano Party". [21]
Bloons TD 6[]
- Some tracks have had their music changed within updates:
- Dark Castle used to play "Sunset Samba" on its initial release in version 5.0, but was changed to "Tribes and Tribulations" on version 6.0.
- Candy Falls used to play "Sunset Samba" on its initial release in version 17.0, but was changed to "Winter Nights" on version 18.0.
- Cubism used to play "Tropical Carnival" since its initial release in version 1.0, but was changed to "Sunshine Serenade" on version 17.1.
- Due to an error, Logs used to play the "Jazz Theme" on version 17.1 instead of the correct "Sunset Samba" theme used on prior versions. It was corrected back to "Sunset Samba" on version 18.0.
- Underground changed from "Tribes and Tribulations" to "Sunshine Serenade" in around Version 20.0.
- Lotus Island, Spice Islands, and Off the Coast all have changed to "Sail Again", previously using "Tribes and Tribulations", "Fiesta Flamenco", and "Sunset Samba", respectively.
- The song "Sail Again" is based on the British-NZ whaling song "Wellerman". Wellerman is also one of the many erroneous "sea shanties" popularized in the early 2020s.
- The song "Jazz Theme" is the only soundtrack that is only played in one map.
- It is also the only soundtrack that returned from Bloons TD 5.
- Only three Expert Maps does not use "Tribes and Tribulations" as the default soundtrack: Muddy Puddles, Quad, and Bloody Puddles.
- A new music track has been seen in an Update 38.0 early access video showcasing the new boss Phayze, titled "The Reality Warper". It appears to be a remix of "Onslaught".
- The song "Tribes and Tribulations" is most likely a reference to the English phrase "trials and tribulations".
