Setups[]
Destruction Point[]
Have all your mortars target the same area, to thin out crowds.
Always Painful[]
Have your mortars' targets spread evenly across the track. Does not work on tracks with multiple entrances and/or exits.
Quintuple Destruction Points[]
Have all your mortars target 5 areas evenly. (If you have 13 mortar monkeys, set 3 on the first area, 3 on the second area, 3 on the third area, 2 on the fourth area and 2 on the fifth area)
Tips[]
- Because the Mortar Monkey has infinite range, placing it far from the track is optimal to allow for other towers that don't have a lot of range to be close to the track.
- The main weaknesses for Mortar Monkeys in general are Black Bloons, DDTs, and BADs.
- While upgrades such as Heavy Shells can damage Black properties, early-game Black Bloon popping power is expensive.
- Only Blooncineration is effective at countering DDTs, and even it can sometimes miss them if not targeted at a good bend.
- Mortar Monkeys lack a specific high-damage source versus BADs. Since Pop and Awe cannot trigger its powerful extra stun damage on BADs, it leaves only Blooncineration with reliable BAD-popping power. Spamming Artillery Batteries will do little extra damage to BADs.
