| “ | Hub of Monkey industry, has a number of different benefits to aid all of your Monkeys. Increases range of all Monkeys in its radius by 10%. | ” |
| ~ In-game Description |
The Monkey Village is a Support-class tower that was released in the initial release of Bloons TD 6. The tower retains its role from the Bloons TD 5 generation as well as the Bloons TD 3 and 4 generations, where it was previously named the Monkey Beacon. It did not receive any teasers prior to release, but it was first shown when the game was available to select YouTubers several days before BTD6's official release date.
The base Monkey Village increases the range of all monkeys within its own range by 10%. However, the Monkey Village is usually purchased for its upgrades, which provide a wider range of support, including discounts, increased attack speed and pierce, extra income per pop, extra income for all income generators, and free towers. Like its BTD5 predecessor, the Monkey Village in BTD6 cannot attack Bloons, except with the Primary Expertise upgrade, although Grow Blocker indirectly attacks bloons by preventing Regrow properties.
It costs $1,020 on Easy, $1,200 on Medium, $1,295 on Hard, and $1,440 on Impoppable.
Description[]
Monkey Village is a hut with a fireplace. The flame is ablaze as the Village sits in its location, sitting stationary. Unlike its predecessor, the base Monkey Village increases range of nearby monkeys by 10% instead of discounting their costs.
The Monkey Village returns in BTD6, and it functions similarly to the Monkey Beacon back in BTD3 and BTD4. Its discount function now becomes upgrades on the third path. The Monkey Village includes new upgrades such as Grow Blocker, which allows the Village to prevent Regrow Bloons from regenerating when in range.
Path 1 focuses mostly on expanding bonus support for other towers, particularly towards support for Primary towers, starting with Primary Training. The first upgrade is Bigger Radius, which improves influence radius of the Village, much like BTD3-BTD4 Monkey Beacon's Stronger Signal upgrade. Jungle Drums returns as a speed-boosting upgrade. The Upper Path 1 upgrades focus on buffing Primary Monkeys: Primary Training boosts the range, pierce, and projectile speed of all Primary Monkeys; Primary Mentoring gives free Tier 1 upgrades, reduces ability cooldowns, and even more range; and Primary Expertise gives free Tier 1 and 2 upgrades, further reduces ability cooldowns, and even more pierce. Additionally, Primary Expertise is the only directly damaging Village upgrade, hurling homing ballistas that ricochet onto targets.
Path 2 retains focus on adding defensive countermeasures, with completely new upgrades such as Grow Blocker and Homeland Defense. The first three upgrades focus on countermeasures against bloon properties: Grow Blocker blocks Regrow Bloon properties, Radar Scanner grants camo detection buffs to nearby towers, and Monkey Intelligence Bureau allows all towers to damage any bloon property. Call To Arms and Homeland Defense boost the pierce and attack speed of all towers on screen for a period of time at +50% and +100%, respectively.
Path 3 specializes in money-saving, with new discount upgrades being added to compensate for the change of the Monkey Village mechanics, as well as completely new upgrades that save money in the long-term. Monkey Business returns that 10% discount functionality of BTD5 Village, albeit limited to Tier 3, and Monkey Commerce expands upon the discounting aspect by stacking further 5% discounts, up to three times. Monkey Town focuses on boosting cash per pop for nearby towers by 50%. Monkey City boosts nearby cash-generators alongside free Dart Monkeys. Monkeyopolis absorbs all nearby Farms to convert into its own cash generation.
The Monkey Village is a Support class tower.
Target Priorities[]
The Monkey Village doesn't have a set target priority, as it is buff-oriented, but it can be considered to have Close targeting due to its buffing passive "attack" act in a similar way to area-of-effect attacks. Grow Blocker is also locked on Close.
However, Primary Expertise's ballista attack will have targeting priorities like ordinary towers.
- First: Targets the first bloon visible within its range.
- Last: Targets the last bloon visible within its range.
- Close: Targets the closest bloon visible within its range.
- Strong: Targets the strongest bloon visible within its range.

Summary[]
Monkey Villages have almost no offensive capabilities (except Primary Expertise's mega ballista attack), instead providing nearby towers with ranged buffs that empower affected towers. Since most of its buffs are local, it is best to compress as many towers within a Monkey Village's influence range as possible to obtain the optimal benefits from the Monkey Village. The Village can also synergize with other Villages, such as buffing influence ranges of each other. Multiple buffs can be applied to most of the affected towers, including some exclusive buffs that only affect Primary Monkeys (such as Primary Training).
Tips[]
- Multiple nearby Monkey Commerce Villages can be utilized for a bigger discount to base towers and upgrades up to Tier 3. These can self-synergize with other Villages, making their upgrades cheaper and increasing range.

| “ | Village Call To Arms doesn't have a place in current high level meta gameplay as grouped clusters of equal towers are never really ideal. As it stands, the village radius is not a large enough area to get lots of benefit to all of the towers that you would be spreading out and maintain any uptime on them. A seemingly huge change but perhaps not in practical use, so we will be looking for feedback on this and whether this reduces placement skill or the need for multiple Villages. | ” |
| ~ Ninja Kiwi |
Call to Arms ability influence increased Radius -> Map
- 36.0
| “ | Last update included a change to the x2x Banana Farm which allowed Banks to finally receive external cash production buffs (previously none of these applied to bank path). This didn’t affect base level unbuffed farm balance, but some players noticed slight reductions in how effective buffs were when applied to other farms (320 and 023 crosspaths) due to this change, overall we’re positive about what the change means but to push back past that nerf to endgame farm synergy we balanced it out with a stronger synergy buff from villages | ” |

Monkeyopolis base cash amount reduced $2500 → $1250

Trivia[]
- According to Ninja Kiwi's 19th March 2021 blog, the Monkey Village was the most difficult tower to implement before the original release of BTD6, although most towers were worked at the same time.
- In BTD6, if two Monkey Villages are placed barely out of each other's range, then temporarily upgrading the range of one tower will make them affect each other, and the effect will last even after the range buff expires.
- According to Ninja Kiwi's August 6th 2021 blog, Villages get packed up and shipped home once they get sold.
- The upgrades Monkey City and Monkeyopolis both show the device's time, just like the building in the main menu.
- Monkey Village was the last non-hero tower in Bloons TD 6 to receive a nerf. Version 32.0 ended this streak by nerfing Monkeyopolis.
